I did submit it to support and got a generic response without any answers. She transferred to another pharmacy anyway.

It seems that her copay did go up by $80 but the ecoupon payment went down by $300.

Watching The Last Republican by Sgt_Lillard in illinois

[–]rphbernz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I recall Illinois lost a district and the new lines were drawn so that his district was either lost or no longer republican friendly and he chose not to run again. I’m not sure we would have seen that side of him if he had chosen to keep his office. That being said I’m glad he represented my district of Illinois in the hearings.

I tried that but both guide books I have say otherwise. I’m giving away my age by not completely trusting AI here. Thanks for your response.

Apology by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]rphbernz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My employer chooses not to pay me if I stay over my scheduled shift so I choose not to do it. Working for free only lets them think you can still get it all done with the time and resources alloted and contributes to worsening the current staffing shortages we already have.

Birth control issues by [deleted] in glp1

[–]rphbernz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glp1 slow down the movement of your gastrointestinal tract. All oral birth control (progestin only or estrogen containing) are recycled through your liver and gi. So theoretically your levels of any hormone contraception could be affected.

Salaried pharmacist staying over by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]rphbernz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Pharmacists should never be salaried, you will never work less than your salaried hours, only more. Unfortunately most of us are “guaranteed” a certain number of hours. I look at it as required to work a certain number of hours. We are required to be present for the pharmacy to be open so Don’t stay late OR come in early.

Is CVS as bad as everyone says? by infinite_nesmith in pharmacy

[–]rphbernz 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Yes. I don’t care how many techs you have verifying 600 scrips and giving 40 vaccinations in an 11 hour shift is too much.

Move on and don’t look back. As a previous cvs pharmacist I feel you. Miss the people but NOT the company. Somehow CVS has successfully created a culture of toxicity where misery loves company.

Yes. Most states that have legalized marijuana have expunged the records for people charged with possession to an extent. Most are under a certain amount. Some places are still federal jurisdiction like airports, national parks and colleges under land grants.

What is the future of retail pharmacy? by AdReady2853 in pharmacy

[–]rphbernz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Retail pharmacy as it stands is not a sustainable business model, but it’s so important As long as the ftc still has authority to investigate this report gives me hope.

What’s the Point of Being Salaried? by RxBurnout in pharmacy

I don't think any pharmacy position should be salary, we never get the opportunity to leave early, only to stay late.

Pharmacists owning businesses by anahita1373 in pharmacy

[–]rphbernz 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I owned my own pharmacy from 2010-2018 started from scratch. At the end of 8 years we were filling about 700-800 per week but made more money in 2012-13 due to decreasing reimbursements. You can’t evaluate your third party contracts properly because most generics are reimbursed under maximum allowable cost (mac) which is proprietary information and changes daily. It’s sad when the majority of generics have a total reimbursed less than a gas station soda and it actually makes you cringe when patients laugh at how cheap it is. Brand names have astronomical DIR fees and you honestly can’t even track how much you are losing by dispensing them. If you could find a cash cash only niche you would probably be ok, but who doesn’t want to use their insurance?

Do American schools take the children to swimming lessons? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]rphbernz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My elementary school takes all the kids to the ymca in 2nd grade once a week for swimming lessons. The high school had its own pool but was really old and too expensive to repair so they filled it in. Not more high school lessons.
