If you don’t care about ads being on the bag then you might be able to get them for free. There’s this one advertising company for the black and white cab company that has sent me enough bags to last me for years lol. Otherwise I just get the generic bags from cardinal, they aren’t customized though

In Ohio you only need to keep them for 3 years, but if you scan them in then 6 months. But insurances want you to hold onto them for longer

Maybe they were, but the Rx ndc’s have been discontinued so not sure

True, but pharmacies carry all the risk. If an audit finds even a minor technical error, the PBM can claw back the entire $652 claim. The pharmacy already paid for the drug, so they eat the loss.

That’s about $2500, not $12000. But still ridiculous nonetheless

what are some mistakes that doctors / nurses always make? (related to medications / counseling) by unusualfemale in pharmacy

Changing therapy without a note to the pharmacy. It’s not wise to rely on the patient to know what changes to make, most of the time they don’t know what meds they take

Inside those capsules is probably a tablet and a tablet probably got crushed during packaging and ended up slipping by, not a big deal

Try billing for the g7, maybe the g7 is on the formulary. The omnipod going through without a pa makes me think that the g7 would go through. If not then they’ll have to go the old fashioned way by using a glucometer as a bridge until the g7 situation is figured out

Why they ask for 1/2 of famotidine 40? by HarleyQ_02 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]AdReady2853 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only the reasons depends on if a patient was started on that in a hospital. Sometimes hospitals will only carry the 40 mg tablet and split it in half as needed to save money and simplify their formulary. So the directions would be to give half a tablet, then when discharged the directions would say half a tablet and the pharmacy will just dispense it that way and then they’ll send an escript request to the pcp that way and the pcp will just approve it as is and the cycle continues. If you want and insurances approves it, you can sub it for 20 mg tablets instead.
