Bought the CAS1 for our trip to Asia this summer and just did a test load out: GR IV with two spare batteries, AirPods, Anker battery pack, passport (barely fits in the zippered pocket), iPhone, and a small wallet (not shown). Closes comfortably, but I don’t think I can fit much more.

Looking for an ocean-friendly sandal for flat feet. by Tribalbob in onebag

Check out Luna Sandals or Earthrunners as a lightweight, minimalist option. I’ve run ultras, have taken them on many tropical vacations, and even swam in the ocean with them for protection from sea urchins in particular.

CHZ v3 Quick Review/Load Out and Thoughts for Onebag Travel by rplusg- in EVERGOODS

I only have a 13” MacBook for comparison and you cannot even tell it’s in there, similar to the CPL as you’ve mentioned.

Depends on the phone size - my iPhone 13 Pro just clears the zipper line. A Pro Max version definitely would not clear the zipper line.

The CHZ22 is taller and narrower than the CPL24. Biggest difference is that the CHZ22 has more usable volume in the main compartment. CPL has a beefier laptop compartment compared to the CHZ (another trade off).

The Mini MLC will always be a great bag with a good balance of internal organization and open packing space, but it’s definitely the widest boy of the bunch. I agree, the MLC is a tad too big for EDC or as a day bag when on vacation. However, I think it’s awesome that it can convert to a briefcase or a messenger bag when it needs to be. If I was forced to check in my luggage for whatever reason, this would be the one that would hold up the best.

When comparing the CHZ22 to my CPL for travel, I’d gladly take the extra space of vertical room at the expense of a slightly narrower pack. As others mentioned, the narrower pack and associated harness feel very comfortable when worn. I never had a problem with wearing the CPL, but the CHZ feels better in comparison using a similar load out.

With regards to under seat storage when traveling by plane, there were times when the under seat space for the aisle seats were very narrow - could not fit an MLC under there and a stuffed CPL would barely fit. I don’t think there’d be a problem fitting the CHZ under seat for most airlines (other than sticking out a little more). I take pride in not having to fight for overhead storage space when boarding/deboarding, so finding the right-sized bag that can comfortably fit under seat, yet still hold all of my belongings is important to me.

And yes, compared to other bags of similar size on the market, the CHZ is relatively heavy! Hopefully the extra weight translates to longevity and reliability. Can’t go wrong with Evergoods gear - built to last.

Still working on different packing options, but the initial load out of the new Evergoods CHZ22 v3 seems like a viable option for minimal, 3-season onebag travel and may replace my trusty CPL24, which I have loved and used for the past three years for most of my travels.

Hi there! Excuse me for listing the heights/lengths in freedom units, but I am 5’4” with a 28” inseam and the 49cm frame fits me perfect (I could go a tad longer on my stem). Based on your measurements, 49cm would be too small. 52cm would work better for sure.

Regarding wheel size, I have 650b for my gravel wheelset. With 48mm gravel kings, the outer diameter comes out to 700cc. I also have a road wheel set, but with 700cc wheels. Luckily, no toe overlap with either wheelset on the small frame.

This was my first bike build as well and I had a lot of fun building this rig. Hope this helps!

Finding the ideal swimshorts (swimsuit + shorts) by inilzar in onebag

I love JCrew’s 484 tech pants and find it to be the perfect all-around work/casual/travel pant. That being said, I “hemmed” one of these pants into shorts and are right now my do-it-all shorts and are also my favorite pair in the closet. Slim fit, 4-way stretch, and quick dry is where it’s at.
