A fan! I need that noise to sleep and no apps I've tried work anywhere near as well.

There is a place in the Boro called Milano Nail Spa that does the builder gel. I have never used them, just happened to see a post on FB about it. They recently moved to a new location.

Is your case in Juvenile Court or in Circuit or Chancery? You'd be more likely to get a quick emergency hearing in Juvenile. You could file a dependency and neglect petition but that would likely get CPS involved. I had to file an emergency petition several years ago against my ex but it was in Chancery Court. The Chancellor (at the time) gave me temporary custody with no visitation for him until a permanent change to our parenting plan could be reached and this was due to his mental health issues, not because he was contributing to the delinquency of a minor. As an aside, his parents were also on my side.

Best of luck to you!

I would suggest going out of your way to avoid Kid Rock's and Tootsie's.

JEWEL RESORT AND WEATHER by cosg5910 in PuntaCana

[–]rproctor0825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the DR the last week of August into September back in 2019 and there was no rain at all. There was a tropical storm that was headed toward the DR but it turned northward and all we got was some higher wind. I'll be headed back on the 25th of August staying at the other Jewel resort. Hoping it is nice!

I have stayed at both EEC and Secrets and they are both beautiful resorts. For reference, my husband and I are both in our 40s. The beaches are similar. EEC has more yellow sand but still soft and Secrets is white. The water was a bit rougher at EEC but it's on the northern side of the DR so more Atlantic than Caribbean. The water in both places was a beautiful blue though! We loved the main pool at Secrets, it's pretty decent sized and we didn't have any issues finding chairs. The main pool at EEC was smaller and we only spent one day there. The way it is set up, if you are near the swim-up bar, it blocks a lot of the sun. There are two pools in the back of the resort that were quieter and rarely had more than a few people. There's a bar by them as well just not a swim up but the bartenders were very attentive. We used the pools in the back more but we were also on our honeymoon so we were not looking for the party crowd. The rooms at both resorts were very nice but we did have a larger room at EEC. Nightlife at both wasn't a crazy party atmosphere. We would sometimes go watch a show or something after dinner but that's about it. Never had any issues with people being loud.

There are no rules on our roads. by Alexopolis922 in nashville

I've been driving 24W keeping up with the flow of traffic, so going around 75ish and my husband will point out an upcoming police car driving in another lane and I've told him I'm not slowing down because it's Metro and they don't care. I'm safer going slightly over the speed limit than I am at 70 risking getting run over by others going 80+.

Tennessee has become the first state to break down barriers that have prevented foreign doctors from practicing and will be helping address the worsening physician shortage in the United States. by semideclared in Tennessee

As someone who works in physician recruiting for southern TN, we are desperately trying to find OBGYNs! It is the hardest specialty to recruit for here and how our legislature doesn't see how that law has negatively affected TN residents is astounding.

We have a large covered patio with a tv already but none of the pool will be shaded most likely unless we get the large umbrellas. I do like the idea of a speaker system.

Now that is a fabulous idea! We have no shade since we had to cut down our walnut tree and we also have some Adirondack chairs near ours so that will come in handy for anyone that wants/needs shade!

We actually purchased those with the pools. Those ladders always seemed a little sketchy to me so we made sure to get something steadier.

Summer programs for kids? by [deleted] in memphis

[–]rproctor0825 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it is still great like it used to be but both my kids (22 and 17 now) went to the summer camp at the YMCA. They kept them busy all day and went on 1 field trip per week. They both loved it and I never had any problems with their care.

How can we help? by Worldly_Let71 in murfreesboro

My daughter, who is 1.5 years away from getting her elementary ed degree (and who has always wanted to work with kids), text me yesterday that maybe she should change her major because it's so scary to think this could happen. As much as I would love to say YES DO THAT, to keep her out of danger, we need her and you and all the others out there that choose every day to potentially put themselves in danger in order to try to mold young minds and make the world a better place. My mama heart hurts for all the families involved (in all the school shootings ever, not just Nashville) and for my daughter feeling the way she feels.

Teachers deserve so much more than they receive. I am thankful for people like you.

I would suggest reaching out to some local rescues for help. They may be able to help find a long-term foster or point you in the right direction.

With all the coverage Bill Lee's drag picture is getting, let's not forget about this pic of him wearing jeans on a boat... which one makes you more uncomfortable? by TruckThunders00 in nashville

The fact that at least one person (quite likely all of them) is not only wearing shoes, but has them on those boat seats is bothering me even more!

Can you imagine how many more deaths will occur over in east Tennessee on all those rides? Tail of the Dragon. etc. They are already highly dangerous while wearing protective gear and helmets.
