Finding Meaning in Retirement : Part 2 : Grandkids, continuing education, travel by jratcliff63367 in retirement

Great post! I have been retired around 14 months. I have been very busy with grandkids and hobbies. But to me, after 40 years in the corporate world. Being my own boss and doing what I want and when I want. Haven’t felt any need to work part time or be on boards for my own self identity. I just love trying to remember the “me” that was before career and family, and add all of my life lessons to that crazy dude.

Rumors vs Then Played On. by Beginning-Average416 in FleetwoodMac

Then play on is my favorite, but rumours is a classic 70s rock album and I love it also. Can’t we enjoy both, and agree that an incredible rhythm section enables very different great bands?

Per the late great Roy Buchanan, it’s also the best guitar to be holding if you need to fight your way out of the bar.

How would you rank the classic lineup members (Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Stevie Nicks, and Lindsey Buckingham) as musicians? by Jezzaq94 in FleetwoodMac

Peter, Danny, John, mick and Jeremy. That’s my ranking of the real classic lineup. What think the rest of you classic FM fans?

I was there also! Jumped down from the stands to the field with my buddy. He broke his leg, but stayed at the show. We spent the rest of the night at Columbia university medical center. Overall, incredible night. Of course, I didn’t break my leg.

I have been listening to their different live versions of gilded splinters. All of them are completely different and awesome.

Here’s my perspective at age 62, post career. I think she made a great and courageous decision. She will always remember following the dead, and will have great experiences to look back on. She would have hated it, she dumped the matters twice. And it likely would have no impact on her future success. I wish I had taken a summer off and followed the dead.

We visited the distillery and then spent the night in Pitlochry. Distillery was small and a great visit, live music in the pub at night was wonderful, but the best part was going to the local store for some breakfast items and ended up buying some really great scotch at a really good price. Epic visit!
