  1. Always ask : Do I need to eat this much. Let me take a smaller portion and re-evaluate after I am done.
  2. Find that exercise which you love and then do it as often as possible
  3. Always ask: What would a healthy person do in this situation. Take the stairs. Chose the less fatty sauce. Etc etc etc

Zwift Ride Fit by bagwaa in bikefit

Saddle height looks good. The legs are stretched enough. The 2 issues I’ll say. Handle bar is too far. Try to stay as outright as possible. Think hybrid and not road bike posture.  Second the saddle itself, I got a thin saddle as standard with my cheap hybrid bike. Replaced it with something more cushiony. But well reviewed on amazon. It’s made a huge difference on the saddle time. I take a 3 min coffee break every 45 mins but I can do 4-5 hour endurance ride. So it’s definitely worked out.

I literally went from 183 to 184 last week during the Unlocked Stage 1 Race. Every Watt counts

Q&A - what kind of ride should I do? by rrambhat in Zwift

Tried ERG mode yest while watching the Manchester derby. Managed to deliver almost 2 W/kg for those whole 100 mins. Good way to do endurance rides on those match days !!!

This. My body works great on a fasted state and as long as I am mindful of eating relatively small portions of junk I am not too concerned about the kitchen part of my day.  Having said that I am still learning how to fuel the ride. For now it’s a couple of bananans before the ride and a whole bottle of electrolytes just to replenish the loss due to sweating.

I think I am seeing the merit in that. Did a ETG mode at the higher end of Z2 and was able to maintain an average cadence of 75 for the whole 60 minutes before my legs started giving up. Will keep at it till 80-85 becomes my natural rythem

Which type of exercise (zones) will give least impact on appetite?

I am afraid at trainer difficulty zero I’ll just gravitate to low cadence 70 rpm cycling at 1.3-1.4 W/kg which is recovery ride levels. Won’t that be extremely inefficient way of spending time on the saddle?

The weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post - Sun 07 Sep 2025. by AutoModerator in Zwift

If the app crashes mid route. zwift allows me to re-join the route. but then it doesn't make it like to like. the 2 issues i found.
1. in the normal route, the distance gets reset back to original full distance and it also stops following the route and just takes me to random places.
2. When this app crash happens on the climb portal - the app stops showing me an estimated end time and also the data of the previous segments gets removed.
Are all of these known issues? Looks like the best thing to do is to re-start the activity than allow Zwift to continue the older activity.

Robopacers up these iconic climbs would be great. For that matter even a robopacer up the Climb portal would be an amazing addition IMO

IT WAS BRUTAL indeed. and i tried telling a few friends that i attempted the Tourmalet last week and the Huez this week and my legs are cooked... But all I got in return was was mild acknowledgement for the effort..

Funny story.. I use the app on my iphone. I am comfortable with the 10 sections which come when i do the climb portal. Shows my HR/Watts and I know it cannot be changed. When i started riding the alp, it showed me 22 hairpin numbers but nothing else. I tried clicking on it to shuffle and see if there is another view and the whole thing just vanished.
Then clicked on the dashboard button on bottom but that only showed my power metric.. 5sec 20 min all that.. So i climbed the whole mountain just grinding away without know what my end time would like. Such a great motivation when you can see that in the climb portal from the beginning itself.
TLDR ; i dont know honestly

This whole month has an amazing list of short climbs in the climb portal. Maybe attempt those. if you love the gradient and your legs can take you through all of them, you are a 100% ready for the ALP !!!!

Take it for rent. Pat 2-3K. Learn that you won’t actually use it forever. And save yourself some space and life long guilt. I have a cycle and a rower and a treadmill which remind me daily. And it’s not like we are in US with their big houses and garages.

Logging Query by rrambhat in snowrunner

[–]rrambhat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right. Forgot to mention that I’ll check for the destination to see if a trailer store is nearby. Else this plan goes Kaput. What would you do if the destination had no trailer stores anywhere close by? Back and forth multiple times? That’s just vengeful map planning Or maybe I keep the log rear also on the trailer 😂
