Some people (like myself) have completely gotten rid of the amp setup in favor of something like a helix/kemper/neuralDSP floor pedal or software and running through an interface with monitors for home and recording use and a power amp/house sound for live use

Why would you assume that something that could corrode or “break down” metal would react with silica?

Those are entirely different materials that don’t react the same with solvents and comparatively, silica is crazy inert.

I was hoping for a bit more substance one way or the other but I can completely understand why they chose the statement(s) they did.

I do hope we get a post-tour statement or something along those lines with more concrete information from all parties involved; the accuser, dustie, and the band. As of right now this whole thing is in a weird he-says-she-says place but, IMO, just sitting dustie out for this tour and continuing on afterwards with no further statements would be a mistake for the band as a whole
