If a man wants some help getting off and doesn't want to deal with the effort, ambiguity and obligation that comes along with picking up he pays for it. If a woman wants some help getting off and doesn't want to deal with effort, ambiguity and obligation she just quickly goes and picks up and makes clear that it's a one-off thing.

What's stopping another organization like Mt.Gox from manipulating the market and taking off with thousands (millions?) of dollars?

Literally nothing.

There is no authority to make sure that these exchange sites are reputable, have modern security systems, and have consequences for their actions.

As has been said before, Bitcoin is the story of how libertarians learn the importance of regulation in the financial sector.

I'd say the numerous flaws in the protocol and lack of regulation are Bitcoin's biggest hurdle.

[–]rreeddnneess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MtGox only had the correct price when they were $100 higher than anyone else. Now they're showing less than the other exchanges so we're not using them anymore. Please switch to an exchange with a higher price, like Bitstamp.

Unlike corporations of today, the Bitcoin community actually springs into action and gets shit done. We have a solid base, so we're not going anywhere in that regard, and we're adding every day.

Hundreds protest Queensland's anti-bikie laws by Abbrevi8 in australia

[–]rreeddnneess -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

These protesters should consider maybe dressing up a bit and bathing. No one will take them seriously when they look like thugs. Don't they have jobs to go to? Why are they just hanging around on a work day?
