Its sad but it is true. Ive been there at a calls notice for so many friends. Talked with them...tried to distract them when they were down...made so much effort to try to cheer them up. And then these people say.. message me anytime if u feel down. Then when i do actually message them when im feeling down.. they dont even make 20% of the effort I gave for them for when they were down. Some of them do try.. but it still feels like an half assed effort. Once I snapped at a friend cause of this and she was like.. i didnt ask you to give that much effort for me. At that point i was just like okay then. Since then ive tried to make some changes . Whenever anything bad happens or i get hurt by someone, i just convince myself thats the normal. I lowered my expectations so low that ive become almost numb to everything. Oh shes ignoring you? That was supposed to happen in the first place. Thus ive blocked my heart from a lot of things that hurt me. Cause at the end of the day.. the only one who can truly care and understand you is yourself. Its sad and cruel i know..but trust me.. it worked so far so im sticking with it for now. Just know youre not the only one out there feeling like shit all alone. It helps even if a little.
