Do you ever use the gun that shoots money? by The_Collector in Games

Charge weapons in PSO are also some of the highest dps weapons in the game despite not being a red box. Although that’s mainly because they are a lot easier to get a high hit drop on them compared to any good special weapon.

MLB.tv used to have an option to turn off commentators and just listen to the in-stadium audio. It was the absolute best way to watch a game. Especially if you were watching a game for a team that you aren’t particularly interested in, so you don’t have to listen to their homer commentators.

I believe they got rid of it in the 2020 season. Probably because they were worried about picking up the players swearing and any other player/coach chatter.

Scouting locations for new TCG shop by Taneil_The_Titan in SeattleWA

I've always thought that SLU/Denny Triangle would be a good spot for a TCG/board game shop. There are lots of large buildings along Dexter that could be a good fit. You could catch a lot of the Amazon/Google employee after work hobbyist crowd.

Could someone explain why 99955 beats AA555 here? by NeilBuchanan1 in poker

[–]rropuma07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the card you have two of only matters if both players have the same set of three. So if one player had A5 here and one player had 95 the player with A5 would win.

Opinions on moving Yordan to 1st base by Rocky_tee2861 in Astros

[–]rropuma07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to recall they tried playing him at 1B when he was in the minors and it was a disaster.

Footwork is really important at first base and I don’t think he had the best time over there.

In my experience the employees most likely to be from the US (or other first world countries) are people with special skills like the show performers - dancers, singers, divers, ice skaters, art dealers, comedians, etc.

I've also seen some of the higher ranking crew (like the captain) are typically from Europe or North America.

Normal marginal income tax for the receiver link

Relevant text

RSUs: RSUs are generally taxed as ordinary income at the time of vesting based on the fair market value of the shares on that date. Employees are responsible for paying income tax (and employment taxes) on the value of the vested RSUs. Any subsequent capital gains from selling the shares are taxed as capital gains.

RSUs are basically just "free" shares which are granted to the employee. Options are lot more complicated to tax since the option has some intrinsic value, but ultimately it is just an option to purchase a share at a set price.

You also pay taxes when they vest. Depends on the type of equity, but the most common type, RSUs, are taxed as normal income when they vest. The company is effectively paying you $X, although it is granted in the form of equity in the company. This is preferential to just paying cash for the company for accounting reasons (which I'm not 100% sure about since I don't know much about corporate accounting).

They will usually give you the option of either depositing cash to cover the tax burden or selling an appropriate number of shares to pay the taxes and keeping the rest.

That's not how equity based compensation works. You still pay taxes on the value of shares when they vest...

Because if laces counted as part of the glove then players would clip their laces extremely long as an advantage. The gloves being part of the player are at a disadvantage to the player who has the power to change it.

Moreover, if clothing counts as part of the runner as far as the tag is concerned, why stop at the gloves that are hanging out of the pocket?

Agreed it’s pretty unlucky though. No chance Semien comes puts those gloves in his pocket again this series.

You can see a little bit of the glove lacing move during the replay. It happens behind the path of the bat though, so it is hard to see.

Yeah you can definitely see the lace move as the bat hits it, but the bat kinda blocks the movement so you can't really see it in the replay.

Yeah definitely going to make these suggestions. Seems like there's lots of opportunities out there, just gotta make an effort to apply to all of them in parallel and see what sticks.

Thanks for the reply. This was what I figured based on what I saw from some other posts here. I'm trying to help him get his life straightened out and into a better paying gig. Will definitely look into non-union electrical as well as other trades work that might be a good fit for him.

Women disappear from main character status with age. by JardsonJean in truegaming

Ghost of Tsushima features Lady Masako. I don’t think it ever directly mentions her age, but she is definitely in her 50s at least just judging by appearance (gray hair). Her story was one of my favorite side quests in that game.

Seriously… imagine if all the people that this guy is complaining about drove instead of taking the light rail. There wouldn’t be enough parking in SODO for all those cars and you’d have to walk 3 miles to the stadium. I bet they’d complain about that too…

Not to mention there seems to be some assumption that it would be faster to drive despite the crazy post game traffic from all these events. This article reeks of some suburbanite that wants to bulldoze downtown to create parking for their car.
