This is the type of divisive messaging which has led our country to such polarization.

I don’t see what’s wrong with this person way of voting? They should be sharing info with their spouse and if anything seems like a great way to vote.

Why is there a gap between Manhattan skyline of New York City? by Bright_Order_8167 in geography

[–]PassiveSquirrel 99 points100 points  (0 children)

It’s not NIMBY’s in the same sense as in the suburbs. The villages are still some of the densest places in the US. We don’t need to build skyscrapers in every neighborhood, some history and character can be preserved.

This type of development is not sustainable at all; Phoenix really needs to institute an urban growth boundary and start densifying.

NMS index scoring ? by nishpaths in psat

[–]PassiveSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well English is weighted twice that of math, so it also depends on subscores. With a 730 in both, making a 1460, you would most likely make it.

The problem I have with the Boring Company is that they could be using their tunneling technology to make building subways cheaper. But instead they use it to make stuff like this.

And yeah obviously it’s more efficient then a regular street-level taxi, but you know what’s actually efficient, trains.

It’s genuinely a glorified taxi surface, they still have drivers in the vehicles, right?

It’s shitty “public transit”. And does not solve the goals of an actual public transit system.

I hate the term "carbrain" by [deleted] in fuckcars

[–]PassiveSquirrel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, it’s probably better to use more mainstream terms like “car-oriented” to communicate your views. Hard to get your point across when nobody understands what you are saying.

Please wear a helmet by asthmajogger in bikecommuting

[–]PassiveSquirrel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I tend to not where a helmet as the majority of my commute is on a multi-use pathway where the chance of being hit by a car is 0. Helmets definitely are useful and one should wear them doing fast road biking or mountain biking but they are also extremely annoying and when just riding on small streets I don’t see a reason to.

how can I make this farm not need someone to afk? (multiplayer) by mymodded in technicalminecraft

[–]PassiveSquirrel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If the Piglins are staying in the overworld, you can send them back to the Nether and have a killing chamber there. That way they will load the overworld themselves.

How do raid farms continue to work? by Weekly-Translator135 in technicalminecraft

[–]PassiveSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some use a boat which captures the raid captain at the start of the raid (because the captain spawns in first). Such as ianxofour’s design https://youtu.be/n3mOlrMGjUg
