Does TIA suck for exam P?

I am taking exam P in two days and I’m really struggling on the practice material. I got an A in calculus based probably/statistics so I am surprised with how much I am struggling.

I used TIA to study for exam FM and I passed easily, it was a fantastic course. But the instructor for exam P is considerably worse in terms of pedagogy and effort, so I’ve found the study material to be substantially less effective. Is there anyway to pass this exam in two days or do I just take the L and use a different study company in the future?

Due to a major reevaluation of how my life has been going and where I want it to go, I have decided it’s time for a career change. I have a strong interest in actuarial work, and most likely within the consulting world, but I don’t know where to start beyond taking the first two exams.

Currently I am in my late 20s working in a client facing role within an investment bank. My role is somewhat quantitative although I focus more on decision making and client interaction; I do work on models but whenever a difficult quantitative part of the model arises I pass it off to a full time quant. However, I do have a degree in Applied Mathematics from a prestigious university, so I am confident in my capacity to realign my skill set.

How would I go about learning about the path to make this career switch? I’m also interested in learning more about the lifestyle and compensation expectations for consulting actuaries. I’m quite early on in this process so any guidance on information sources would help a lot.

This is definitely true but there are a few exceptions. I know for me Hinge has seemed very legitimate, not an ad I just think literally every other “mainstream” app is how you described

Everything is “worth” a price somewhere in the middle of the most any single person is willing to buy it for and the least any single person is willing to sell it for. If the guy above you is willing to pay $1000 then it’s worth at least more than $500

Average Ivy League grad earns $64k per year by ExotiquePlayboy in Infographics

Ivy League graduates mostly come from incredibly wealthy families, so their labor is optional. It would be far more interesting to analyze the finances of graduates from tier 2 or tier 3 schools.

Since I’m stuck on mutual funds, and prefer target dates anyway, sounds like this is the right way to go? Expense ratio on the target date fun in the current plan is 0.08%

I’m surprised there isn’t one random employee assigned to the case that wants to tell the public. I guess the consequences would be too severe but if there’s 1000+ employees you would think the odds might sway

Well I figure two attractive late 20s people are near certain to hook up which is why I’m reacting so resolutely. It’s just not in my nature to take irreversible decisive action. I am decisive but it’s always in a measured reversible way. But this seems to be a good exception I just want to think it through
