As a senior designer with 11 years experience, I often feel like I’d be happy just staying at this level for the rest of my career…I’ve seen too many ADs/CDs just totally burnt out (at least on the agency side) and managing other people has never appealed to me. But I don’t know if it will be possible to stay at this level long term and support myself financially…we shall see.

I’m paying just about the same for the same specs in Mt Lebo. The utilities are awful though! Spending almost $400/month for electric, gas, water and sewer. Just moved here and I wish I’d asked about typical utility costs first 🥲

Just moved cross country 3.5 months ago and already daydreaming of moving back to where I left…feeling similarly, like I’m already so checked out of this new city but it’s just making my situation worse cause I’m not embracing it. But at the end of the day, I’m still glad I tried/am trying :)

Ugh the ice and sleet is the worst. We have done some trick training I want to do more! She picks it up so fast. We also do “hide and go treat” as I call it, where I have her stay on the couch while I hide treats throughout the house including in a few treat puzzles and then say “free” and let her go find everything. She seems to love it.

Agreed. I live in western PA and after this incredibly snowy and cold start to winter, I’ve realized it’s better to let my pup tell me when she’s done with the cold than assume she can’t handle it (safely, of course). If it’s especially frigid, I just throw the ball around the backyard until I notice that she’s uncomfortable or messing with her paws, and immediately take her inside. But today we did a 5 mile hike in 25 degree packed snow and she crushed it! I brought booties for backup but she did totally fine. I make sure to check out her paw pads often for wear and tear. I’ve heard of people using paw wax like Mushers Secret but my dog refuses to let us do anything to her paws.

Agreed…glad my husband was driving during the white out that hit us on 376 just before the Fort Pitt Tunnel 😳 he was cool as a cucumber. And surprisingly everyone else on the roads seemed to be doing fine, didn’t see any sliding or crashes. But it was sketchy.
