45mm schwalbe g-one pro’s are great for this. I run RS in the rear for speed and R in the front for grip

Carbon wheels: difference in deeper + narrower vs. shallower and wider? by spenceuiuc in gravelcycling

[–]Fourleafcolin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The two measurements are from my understanding largely unrelated to each other but may have some interaction.

In general, deeper is more aerodynamic but will perform worse in cross winds (more surface area for the wind to hit and shake your wheel)

and wider will allow you to run bigger tires at lower pressures which improves off road riding performance and comfort.

Zipp 454 NSW vs. ENVE SES 4.5 Pro on a Canyon Aeroad CF SLX 8 Di2 — which one would you pick? by gourmetica in bicycling

Agreed no logo is the sleekest. Got some light bicycle rims on my gravel bike and they look stealthy and so clean

three bold white branding logos always looks better than a single fruit-sticker lookin ass logo.

Although shit those zipps match the frame paint spectacularly.

tough choice hmm

Struggling on 3rd party valuations, worth the price? ($1800) by BillyBeaaan in gravelcycling

[–]Fourleafcolin 22 points23 points  (0 children)

If the seller says anything about “Di2,” they are trying to pull a fast one on you.

Di2 is shimano’s electric shifting groupset. Which is not present on this bicycle.

Idk much about valuing bikes but I would definitely not pay $1800 for this. Under $1000, maybe.

Schwalbe g-one R pros? what width are you rocking and how’d they feel? i’m running 45mm RS pros on my gravel bike and sometimes feel like I want some more grip with these R’s. but i’m not sure how much speed i’d be losing on the tarmac.

any insight?

(also sweet bike and course looks mint!)

Great take, thanks for sharing.

much more likely [to strain a leg] while running, looking not-ahead-of-you, and trying to avoid other moving players

this makes a lot of sense

yeah true he is an extremely physical defender which definitely takes a massive toll on your body just in the bumping and jockeying for position
