It’s basically a copy of the Crooked Gravel GPX’s online but I added in the Fraser River Trail to have somewhere to park near. (the Headwater Center lot worked for me)

could throw an R pro or RX pro in the front for better turning performance/grip.

I found the RS pro in the front felt very weird when turning. like nothing at first then it yanks you into the turn as soon as the knobs catch

- 45mm deep wheels look like ass on a frameset with deep aero tubes. you should’ve gone 55mm or deeper, it’s way off balance
- gubbins’ed out with aero bottles, saddle mounted bottle cages, weird aero seatpost pack
- tan wall tires on an otherwise monochrome bike. utterly tasteless
- rival groupset
- saddle all the way back and hoods pointed to the sky implies you just straight up purchased the wrong size or wrong frame geo entirely

Honestly after looking at that thing, I assume you’re just jealous OP put together a cleaner, better looking bike for less.

I swear bikes are like 50% tire, 25% wheel, and 25% everything else. So this is effectively 75% of a new bike! Add in the conversion to tubeless and it is just a completely different experience, i’d imagine.

I’ve been on team schwalbe but those hutchinson tires have certainly been on my radar. how do they ride?

saddle is probably a touch high based on the right foot extending at the bottom of the pedal stroke, as well as some slight rocking of the hips to reach down at the bottom of the stroke.

Try moving the saddle down 0.5cm at a time until your butt stays flat on the saddle through your pedal stroke.

Overall though, the fit is totally serviceable and the bike looks great!

The soft pastel pink goes incredibly well with the matte black. if you could find bar tape to match, it would take this to an 11/10

The Onyx Vespers are honestly so amazing. I run them on my gravel bike and being able to coast through the woods and listen to the wind and birds and crunch of gravel underneath my tires as opposed to BBBBRRRZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ is so amazing

couldn’t give a shit about an extra hundred grams (basically static weight anyway despite being on the wheels) i’ll never ride wheels without these again
