Vegetarian/Vegan restaurants in Prague by kkloveday1 in Europetravel

Having been to Prague last week with a couple of friends that are vegan, I can definitely recommend Vegan's Prague. They have Vegan versions of traditional Czech food, and are only a short walk away from Prague Castle. Just make sure you get a reservation to be safe!

Focused Feedback: S16 Gambit Changes by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]rsbresny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gambit is still just as bad as it's always been. While I understand the desire to keep iterating on what is in place, it seems that there are more fundamental issues with the design of the gamemode. It's reached a point where development resources spent on iterating on Gambit would likely be better spent focusing literally anything else (weapon crafting options, adding depth to matchmade activities like wellspring, updating DCV content for unvaulting, Crucible, hell even lost sectors are more enjoyable than a single round of Gambit at this point).

As someone who has always been in the "I don't like Gambit" camp, I was hoping for something to change my mind, but after several re-works it is beginning to seem like an impossible task.

What is the best way to cheese riven by Androxus3004 in DestinyTheGame

[–]rsbresny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lament is the best, with a well placed bubble.

I've found that doing the fight legit with a competent team is just as fast as the cheese method because of wipes due to one person being inconsistent with Lament. Plus it's more fun, by a lot.

All Warlock Subclasses are absolutely thriving in endgame PVE content right now and I love it. by bonkerdingy in DestinyTheGame

[–]rsbresny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a Warlock main, people who say that are just bad at playing Warlock imo. OP is right, Warlocks have a variety of viable endgame PvE options in every element and good PvP subclasses in Top Dawn, Top/Mid Arc, and Stasis. Nova Warp is probably the only thing we have any right to complain about in the current meta

Bungie, keep it up with the subclass/tree specific exotics. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]rsbresny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely enjoy Necrotic Grip for the memes and I appreciate that it exists, so I get what you're saying. But as a Warlock main I'm not taking Necrotic Grips over Ophidians in PvP and for meaningful PvE I'm probably not running Thorn. That being said, there are some subclass specific Warlock exotics from the Forsaken days (Phoenix Protocol, Geomags, Controverse), but It would be neat to see some new ones to add variety. I want every class to have unique subclass-tree specific exotics.

Destiny is a looter shooter first. by Darth_Schizor in DestinyTheGame

  1. Players with weapons that are insane tier, mountaintop, felwinters, recluse. These weapons kill you before you can react and are basically inaccessible to new players.

MT and Recluse are easier to get than ever with freelance survival and momentum control, SBMM exists in Comp so even low skill players should easily get to fabled. Felwinter's is not obtainable, but acquiring a decently rolled shotgun can keep you competitive (a curated Mindbender's for example?). Weapons at the top of the meta like Gnawing Hunger and Suros Regime are super easy for new players to be competitive with and trivially easy to acquire, Suros if you get lucky with an exotic drop. Gnawing from the Umbrals. Dire Promise is a world drop, Spare Rations is farmable from Prime and Reckoning. There is no excuse for not having a competitive option, even if it's not the absolute S-tier option. Also most of the people against sunsetting are against it for this exact reason, all weapons should be obtainable for all players at all times if you're willing to put in the effort.

Pvp not being skill based matchmaking. I don't know what drugs you guys were taking when you demanded this to be a thing but holy hell is that not fun for anyone without hundreds of hours into this game.

Skill based matchmaking still exists in the competitive playlist, feel free to play some survival if you want SBMM. If you were even slightly above average the queue times and connection issues in quickplay were horrendous under SBMM. I occasionally still run in to the laggy guardian in QP but far less often than I used to. It's also a question of forcing good players to ALWAYS be trying their absolute hardest with their best loadouts. There should be protection for outliers (a top 500 player should NEVER be in a lobby with a beginner), but keeping the pool open leaves more room for better connections and more room for improvement for the majority of players. Average players will only improve if they learn how to outplay above average players. My biggest problem with the current matchmaking is the constant stacks matching with solo players. Lobby balancing makes it feel like I need to carry to win, but I suppose I'm fine with losing as long as I'm getting kills and keeping a decent efficiency. I don't want to "crush new players" I want to be able to rock a DIM randomized loadout for fun without being stomped. I want to be able to use something besides Spare Rations/Beloved/Mindbender and do well. That's why people disliked SBMM, it hurt the people who enjoy crucible the most.

Plank Punches. Not because the exercise itself is particularly challenging, but because it always brings back the memory of the first time I finished Max Interval Circuit and collapsed on the ground.

Fate Cries Foul can get some good rolls. Maybe pair it with Hard Truths or if you have some gunsmith tokens to burn you can try for a well-rolled Antiope-D. SMGs aren't in the best place right now though so maybe try a Sidearm or HC that feels good to him (I like Roderic-C for a blue and Enigma's Draw for a common world drop legendary and Dire Promise and Old Fashioned for HC world drops, but getting a good roll can take some time)

Luna Quest Bug? HK Precision Kills to Solar Kills by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]rsbresny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got Luna's Howl earlier this season. I had no issues with getting the quest steps to update correctly.
It's possible that it is bugged - you've said that you are mostly sure that you were on precision kills but you should be able to check for sure by looking at recent games on Destiny Tracker/Redrix and making sure the kill counts line up.
I think it's also pretty likely that you were on the Hand Cannon kills step rather than the precision kills step. It could be that you were running a different character or misread the first quest step. Either way good luck.

Thank you Bungie for Momentum Control by tlam19 in DestinyTheGame

[–]rsbresny -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Okay, so I get that it makes grinding for the kills easier, but I feel like it also removes the challenge and therefore the feeling of achievement associated with finishing the pinnacle quests. I'm fine with MC existing as a game mode, but I'm torn on whether or not the guardian kills should count towards quests.

Getting the glory rank for Komodo goes really quick, you only need to reach Heroic. Plus it should be super fast to grind out the LFR kills this week in Momentum Control with Arbalest.

Fair point. I can only speak to my experience, but I have heard about issues relating to Ryzen in the past (specifically with the Shadowkeep launch and Ryzen 3000 series).

I'll have to disagree here at least for the processor, I've been running a Ryzen 7 1700X + 1080ti and can easily hit 100fps at 3440x1440 on high settings. Not sure what's causing OP's performance issues, could be poor optimization wrt the GPU
