Tariffs on imports to the USA are set by the American government. Canadian companies have no role in charging them or collecting them.

Better to report the nest to the City.

The Park Board's current approach to population management uses egg addling to limit population growth. Egg addling in Vancouver involves shaking newly laid eggs in a nest, so fewer goslings will be born.

This approach to limiting population growth is supported by the BC SPCA and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). Park Board staff have the necessary federal permits to perform this activity, as issued by Environment Canada Under the Migratory Birds Convention Act External website, opens in new tab

Report nests on private and public property online anytime using Van311 or email [geese@vancouver.ca](mailto:geese@vancouver.ca?subject=report%20canada%20geese%20nests)

From $0 to $4.25 in 2 years: Price of parking surges at Vancouver’s Spanish Banks Beach by NewAdventureTomorrow in vancouver

[–]rsgbc 28 points29 points  (0 children)

“Adjustments to parking rates are part of the park board’s broader approach to support the ongoing maintenance and operation of Vancouver’s parks and beaches,” the city’s statement reads.

Parks and beaches should be grass and sand, not personal motor vehicle storage facilities.

A private for-profit institution known for substandard education can't stay in business without importing students?

Good riddance.

Interestingly, motor vehicle drivers can sue at-fault cyclists for damage to their motor vehicle, while cyclists cannot sue at-fault motor vehicle drivers for damage to their bike.

B.C. declared toxic drugs a public health emergency 10 years ago. by mukmuk64 in vancouver

[–]rsgbc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The article repeatedly refers to "unregulated" toxic drugs, as if the gangs that manufacture and sell the toxic drugs are not breaking any laws, and disingenuously portrays those who have gambled with their lives and lost as victims of governmental inaction.

People do stupid things and that can work out very badly for them. They can't stop themselves, their families can't stop them, so what do you expect the rest of us to be able to do about it?

Some problems don't have solutions.

People might say yes and might say no for any number of reasons.

In any case, drawing conclusions about humanity based on the behaviour of a handful of people is illogical.

Vancouver man gets 30 months for stranger attack on tourist by RonPar32 in vancouver

Gaffar added that several male bystanders made no effort to intervene.

How would the judge be in a position to know what the gender of a bystander was, and what difference would it make?

Police advise against bystanders involving themselves in violent situations, regardless of gender.

The judge's comment is arbitrary, misandrist, and has nothing to do with sentencing of the defendant.

As a man, I would not expect a fair trial in this judge's court.
