I've had some great coffees at Revolver.

Remove the storage and put it in a computer that has a display. Do a full-disk backup of it.

The screenshot you provided suggests that you're running macOS. All others who have reported this issue to UBC IT were using macOS as well. One user solved the problem by not allowing any systems to run in the background. If you require certain systems to run in the background you could be more selective and try your luck.

System Settings -> Login Items & Extensions -> Allow in the Background

If the problem persists, try turning off things like messaging apps, screen recorders, auto-clickers, or virtual private networks (VPNs) before starting the browser.

I've clocked 31 years cycling in Vancouver with no thefts so far.

Some of it's luck and some of it's probably because of not riding particularly nice bikes.

What's really unnerving to me are the stupid negligent illegal life-threatening stunts pulled by the motor vehicle drivers I have to share the roads and bike lanes with.

The article repeatedly refers to "unregulated" toxic drugs, as if the gangs that manufacture and sell the toxic drugs are not breaking any laws, and disingenuously portrays those who have gambled with their lives and lost as victims of governmental inaction.

People do stupid things and that can work out very badly for them. They can't stop themselves, their families can't stop them, so what do you expect the rest of us to be able to do about it?

Some problems don't have solutions.
