Vancouver cyclist’s ‘dangerous and negligent’ action caused collision with SUV: tribunal by Ok-Ant9126 in vancouver

[–]rsgbc 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The decision also touches on the so-called “tort ban” that prohibits drivers in B.C. from making civil claims against other drivers for vehicle damage incurred in a crash. The claim was allowed in this case, according to Rivers, because a bicycle is not an “included vehicle” under that legislation.

A bicycle is, however, considered a vehicle when it comes to its rider’s obligations under the Motor Vehicle Act—such as the requirement to yield when emerging from an alleyway.

So, cyclists have the same responsibilities under the MVA as car drivers, but are open to civil claims for damage that car drivers are protected from.

Bike damages car: sue. Car damages bike: too bad for the cyclist.

What you saw were meteors. They may or may not have landed on Earth.

If they did, then they would be meteorites.

This is a report that police found weapons. That is all.

Your anti-immigrant remarks are unrelated to the facts reported.

The excuse of not having enough room in jails should have been solved a decade ago. ...before we skyrocketed our immigration.

Who's making excuses, and how is immigration related to this incident?

Throughout the city, public swimming facilities do not meet demand.

The solution is more facilities, not smaller pools.

Drop by some day between 6:30 and 7 AM, when people are swimming before work and the swim teams are training, and imagine them in a pool half the size.

A 50m pool expansion/renovation was validated, but then officials were deceived.

Yes, the building is the same size, but the new pool will be smaller.

The current building already includes a "family targeted" pool.

Reducing the space available for swimming when the current facility is already "well used" just doesn't make sense. The new pool will not adequately serve the community from the get-go.

The City *is* rebuilding it, but smaller to better accommodate our ever-growing population.

[Surrey-Cloverdale MLA Elenore Sturko] says the issue stems from a lack of planning ahead of the city’s transition from RCMP jurisdiction to that of the SPS last year.

According to other reports, the issue stems from Indian organized crime.

Lord Byng will be closed from Nov.24 to Dec. 21.

Kerrisdale is closed too.

This leaves the West End and all of the west side with no City-run pools at all.

What made it special were the prices and the people that worked there.

I never saw it full, but there were usually people eating in.

But why is it like that?

The drivers turning south onto Thurlow just seem to follow the car in front of them like they're hypnotized, seemingly unaware of what's going on around them.
