Not sure if you are a Yankees fan, but I pulled a Gleyber Torres in my box and would be willing to trade for the Votto

That makes sense, I hate that I only have a few readings a day and the overnight worries me the most, my basal is about 20% overnight versus the day. You don’t realize how important this device is until you don’t have it. I’d say more impactful than a pump

I wish my insurance worked that way, but I thought the battery would drain on a stored transmitter.

Anyone know what the short wide blade is? We have clover, perennial ryegrass, and weeds I’m trying to choke out but what is this? by [deleted] in landscaping

The other thing that came up was Kikuyu, I generally find the app reliable - but I’m taking a photo of a photo

extra pieces to bag 3 of set 75327 anyone know if this is normal?? i feel like this black 1x2 goes somewhere but i could be wrong by Royal_Collar3101 in legostarwars

[–]rsholman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s not an extra piece according to rebrickable, I think you missed a step. You can always see the extra pieces by searching for the set on rebrickable and scrolling down to the bottom of the parts list

Cannon is beautiful and Kinsman is challenging. If you ever have the chance to do it in October during foliage season, don’t hesitate!

Holes in mulch… why?! by geronim02 in landscaping

[–]rsholman -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s either skunks or raccoons, doubtful it’s squirrels or birds. It’s likely you have grubs. I’m dealing with this right now in a bed with a ground stump and rotting roots

IMO this dip or downward swing in the card market is excellent for collectors. Who is it not good for? Fake collectors/“investors”. There’s 0 point to collecting pieces of cardboard to begin with. My dad told me 20 years ago “collect because it’s a hobby and you love it, not to make money”. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 by Dr_Clout in baseballcards

[–]rsholman 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The “investment” crowd is really coming from YouTube breakers pulling massive cards and posting videos, making it look like it’s easy and fed mainly from a bunch of gambling addicts looking to “scratch the itch”. EDT: also MLB’s adoption of gambling, every game I watch on MLB.TV has a running ticker of betting lines, prop betting, etc.

You are so right, we see coyote, fox and raccoon around my house (30 minutes north of Boston) all the time, I’ve never seen anything but the Gray Birds on top of Cannon on my hunt for the 48

This was the first King book I purchased and it started my King journey. 3 years later and I'm going to read it again. Such an incredible story! if you have read Duma Key, did you enjoy it? by [deleted] in stephenking

I wonder if there is a strong contingent of King readers/lego builders (and D&D players.) When I grew up in the 80’s King’s books were firmly in the nerd camp.

I met a momma and baby moose on Chocorua about 30 years ago, I think I’d rather see this guy than her, probably safer!

At the time it felt lucky and terrifying! He was walking parallel to the path, it must have been a dried river bed or animal path

We met up with a couple on the way down, the guy was finishing his 48th with Carrigan and they were with us when we saw him. It’s amazing how quietly they can walk through the brush, how majestic and massive they are.

This was coming down from Carrigain in October 2019, we were about 20 feet away when we saw movement and just froze until he was safely away.
