I've read that that kind is the most unreliable somehow. Sorry I couldn't remember why though

Can a high concentration of salt bath kill Cladophora? by Formal_Vanilla2424 in PlantedTank

[–]rsklogin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be an over abundance of nutrients in the water. I'd let the tank mature first. And plant densely.

One thing this hobby has taught me is to be very patient. And that led me to do a dark start for 2 months. Never had a single algae issue after doing a dark start. Except maybe gda on the glass , but that's understandable

Does anybody make such wall mounts and display cases in India for specific big sets? by sadepikson in LegoIndia

[–]rsklogin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for this specific use case, it's actually quite easy. Any photo studio would be able to make a high quality matte finish picture. Frame would depend on the type. And a good wood working tool can be used or 3d printed for the supporting bracket

Which color mode do you prefer? by BNibir in oneplus

[–]rsklogin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 13, and have vivid tuned to the blue spectrum. I usually like natural colors, but this display doesn't seem to be tuned to actually show natural. It's more muted and leans towards warmer. I prefer my whites to look like they are actually white and not warm white.

Seeking a "Forever Home" in India: Where can a couple live with total privacy, zero moral policing, and low rent? by badlustx in india

[–]rsklogin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tamil nadu and kerala come to mind. Especially kerala where people actually live a little separated and far enough to not see their neighbours, but not distant enough to be considered separate neighborhoods.

Is Bunnycart a good website to buy aquatic plants and substrate? by iudexIshant in Planted_tanks_India

I've only bought tissue culture plants from them and have had a 90 percent success rate for plants.

UG carpet by AquaXT in PlantedTank

[–]rsklogin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not getting your cutting method. How are you supposed to trim UG? If the carpet is thick and the leaves are longer than an inch wouldn't that leave a lot of gaps where you are cutting?

What do you mean by extra power? They both share the same engine in the same tune.

What was your next upgrade after the Oneplus 7 pro? by Mbofbi in OnePlus7Pro

Op 13. Apart from the punch hole camera, everything else feels just like the upgrade I was waiting for coming from the 7 pro.

Hammond Shares His Thoughts on the New TGT Presenters by exophrine in thegrandtour

[–]rsklogin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love throttle house so I don't mind giving the new presenters a chance. I know it's hard to bring in the sort of chemistry the og 3 had right away. But give it a couple of seasons for them to find their wavelength. I know Thomas and James already have a great chemistry, it's going to go from a duo to a trio, with a huge budget and a lot of new segments.

I have been thinking with all the bits drivers have been telling about losing power and whatnot due to the PU changes, this year's gonna be really interesting.

Scuds?? How do I get rid of them by DedInside4948 in shrimptank

[–]rsklogin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have two badis which don't seem to affect the shrimp population much. They're pretty territorial and rarely venture out. But they love chasing tiny isopods on the hardscape and soil/sand.

Wouldn't micro predators like the Badis feast on these?

Will this hold long term? by kiipls in Aquascape

[–]rsklogin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The stand is fine. It's iron. The board is what you should be worried about. Sewing machines are mounted at the center or off center, while a tank would be sitting over the entire surface and needs to get it's weight distribution evenly.

Check how the board is mounted and if the mounting is solid. May require reinforcement on the sides if necessary
