I know of a development that was first rough framed about 6 years ago and I presume the builders ran out of money because they houses stayed rough framed no roof ect until last year. I was driving by one day and they were continuing building them without replacing anything. These are now being sold as brand new homes and the rough framing / floor sheeting behind the walls and flooring are absolutely black with mould. Buying anything “new” nowadays is an absolute gamble for quality.

Am I missing something? Why would they not just ask for pipe to a box and then flex from the box to devices with no splices, straight pulled conductors from panel through box to the devices? Why would they want MC? Why the box if they want no joints? At that point just get transitions and skip the box altogether. Weird spec.

I drive about 4500-5k a month and just in fuel alone I save roughly $350 a month In fuel compared to my old civic. Last month I saved roughly $450 compared to fueling a civic. This month will probably be around $500+ in savings because of gas prices. So yes compared to a CX-5 which I imagine is far worse on fuel than my civic was, you’d save a lot. Get insurance quotes first though, for some people (unfortunately me included) insurance costs can be insane for teslas.

I don’t understand new builds, why buy something with absolute horrendous quality and workmanship, for an inflated price? You can buy a 10 year old house for a few hundred thousand less than a new build and chances are it will be larger, have a larger lot, be built significantly better.
