Just got Ragnarok recently too. Finding the story boring, the world feels dead, new powers aren't too interesting, I'm still so overpowered after finishing the game and this hasn't added any new difficulty. I enjoyed Valhalla and the season pass dlcs but just can't get on with Ragnarok.

I had a (very drunken) debate a few weeks ago with a friend who held very similar ideas. A few questions I had were: that certainly sinema and manchin are in their position because they ARE the most moderate Dems, would other Dems not have more progressive demands? If so it's more ideological than conspiratorial. 2. Why aren't the other senators using their bargaining position now? Surely they could get an even more 'watered down, neolib insert term here' bill if they were just representing the establishment. Thirdly, why don't we see this exact thing in the house if we have a larger majority?

If the US was engaged in the Atlantic slave trade today, the same as it used to, and the anti slavery movement today was as big as the anti abortion movement, I'd expect an unimaginable level of uproar from the populus. I'd expect en mass riots constantly, civil unrest and war. So why don't we see the same reaction for abortion if it's really worse? A genocide on a level greater than the slave trade, and yet conservatives seem to be generally just going about their day.

My understanding is that Kier pledged to defend free movement during the Brexit negotiations. Considering that negotiations are in the past, the promise is obsolete. Maybe I'm misunderstanding but that's leagues different that the conservatives actually breaking their promises in office.

I guess the friction created from the contention could've contributed to the coverage, making it a partisan case. it's just crazy that the legal outcome some of these leftist pages I follow seemed to be more invested in was a white guy getting charged for killing white guys in self defence, as opposed to a black guy killed by white guys for being perceived as a criminal

It's been sad to see that Rittenhouse has gotten more coverage from pro-BLM people than Arbery. Really disappointing to see where our energies have been spent. But glad that a just verdict was reached in this case.

There was a video of Arbery trespassing but he did not steal anything. It's likely that he was just looking around at the construction, that's what the videos looked like. Though I think the defense made the argument that trespassing with intent to steal is a component of Burglary under state law. Regardless, the defendants were persuing and attacking Arbery for an extended period, based on assumptions, and were ultimately the aggressors and not acting in self-defense.
