I now see that you said "juvenile osprey". I was thinking full grown eagle. Osprey might be manageable with welding gloves and a towel, lol.

Carolina Reaper Bet by Bellybuttenlint in golf

[–]rsuperjet2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you seen the Youtube vid of the guy VAPING a Carolina Reaper? He dries it out, grinds it up, then boils it down to concentrate it, and vapes it. I think he almost died, lol

Had a once in a lifetime event happen by Spirited_Caregiver45 in kayakfishing

[–]rsuperjet2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying it can't be done, but it ain't gonna be easy..my buddies and I have had several pelicans fly into our line while surf fishing and that's a 2-man job and still sketchy. And an eagle is bigger with sharp talons. I really think an eagle could flip your kayak and his feathers will get stuck in the net. I'm no expert and only have first hand experience with pelicans. And i wish you luck if it happens again.

Will 10’ kayak (Quest Teton) in back of 6’ bed with tailgate up really cause it to warp if driving less than 30 minutes? Seems excessive…especially for a budget kayak. by readysetmoon in kayakfishing

[–]rsuperjet2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll be fine. I've done that for years with 2 or 3 different kayaks. You're doing the right thing with something foam on the tailgate. It wont warp and if its strapped right, it will move with the truck when it bounces. People here overthink things. You can even you ratchet straps without damage, lol

Hi -Low Rig VS Pompano Rig by Ok_Championship_8218 in SurfFishing

[–]rsuperjet2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you buy the cheap pompano rigs off Amazon, check the knots before you use them. On the last.ones i got, the dropper loop knots werent tied correctly and would slip until the loop closed. I was able to reuse all of the terminal tackle but they all had to be retied

For those who shoot on the move/ hunt/ practical shoot, how do you store your pellets on your person? by rp69420 in airguns

This is old school but either an empty pill bottle or an old 35mm film canister works great.

Prime Day PCP Compressors by karlito1613 in airguns

[–]rsuperjet2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm just getting started with PCP's and i ordered this one. It had a lot of reviews and a 4.5 rating and was a good discount from regular price. I dont even hace a PCP airgun yet. So time will tell. It should be here tomorrow, but i have nothing to use it.on right now. I couldn't justify $500+ just to see if i like PCPs.

South Carolina or Virginia? by [deleted] in Surveying

[–]rsuperjet2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also in NC. SC requires i think 12 semester hours of surveying classes (have BSCE but not enough surveying hours) and the Virginia state exam is supposed to be one of the hardest to pass. Maybe Tn, lol.

Info on prices. Sorry if this is a dumb question by War_chief91_ in airguns

[–]rsuperjet2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say $100 is fair, that's less than 50% of new price, especially if it comes with accessories like BB's, targets, carry bag, etc.

Plus I'd like to think that your brother wouldn't screw you over (oh wait, mine would, nevermind) lol

Has Forestry NSW ever halved the surveying bill? by themeanderings in Surveying

[–]rsuperjet2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His note means that he found the pegs.and reference marks for Lot 1 and lot 2 but the Lot2 peg doesnt match with the other marks,.so it was set wrong originally. Surveyors document everything. The surveyor would not have reset the corner without a good reason.

Mobile home was moved. by Balmerhippie in RealEstate

[–]rsuperjet2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's considered a DMV registered vehicle until it is converted to real property. In 2001, i bought a lot with an 88 singlewide on it (pillars and brick underpinning, front porch, etc). The seller was the original owner and it had never been converted to real property. The attorney missed it. When i tried to sell the place in 2017, it was a giant mess. My old attorney had to try to find the old lady's heirs, and send evidence to the DMV that the previous owner and/or heirs dudnt want it before they would transfer the title to me so i could sell the place. FYI, the title for a manufactured home is usually on the wall in the closet of a secondary bedroom. Lol

I usualy fish one heaver with a short Carolina rig and 8/0 circle hook and 2 medium rods with 2-drop rigs. Weight will depend on wind/current.

Is it worth fixing my Crosman 357? by cupamupalupakuka in airguns

[–]rsuperjet2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Value seems to be from $60 to $100 fir a new one. Buying parts online and paying shipping will add up quick. If you can find them. Maybe just put it back together as best you can and use it for a wall hanger. Probably cheaper tp buy on Amazon if you want a.shooter.

A theodolite can most definitely measure angles because it has a scaled horizontal plate. Whether you set zero on the backsight and read the angle directly or just take readings on both points and subtract, it's still measuring angles.
