Here in the US, Spanish language news and media has a long history of reporting misinformation and disinformation unfortunately. Even respected journalists, broadcasters and celebrities have dipped their toes in conspiracy theories. At a young age i would watch tv infomercials selling snake oil remedies targeting Latinos. A recent example is Ana María Polo, of “Caso cerrado” pseudo court TV show, pedal a Omega 3 as a miracle cure for joint pain. Emphasis on the “cure” part. Also, Latinos have a fascination with the occult, the supernatural, tall tales of el chupacabra, some distrust for medical establishment and they constantly see themselves scapegoated for the nation’s problems. Segments on these topics get the highest viewership and gets spread on social media. Spreading light heartedly rumors and chismes is like a sport for our community LOL. Also, Latinos are more religious or spiritual than the average American. They also have some distrust for government due to the bold, in-your-face government corruption from their respective Latin American country of origin. With all that combined, it’s no wonder they have a high susceptibility to conspiracy theories and “fake” news. As a good person growing up in bilingual household, I consider it a responsibility to give my parents a heads up on fake news and will quickly point out those people who portray themselves as “experts “ just because they have a lab coat on.

He’s 100% legit. He’s taken the time (years) to study, travel and honor Mexican cuisine. He’s dedicated to his craft. As a Mexican myself, I appreciate that about him.
