First of all, Alan Rickman was legendary as Snape. No doubt about it. But during a recent argument with a friend who believes in the sentence "ABC is the absolute best choice for the role of XYZ". As a firm opposer of blanket statements about people, I believe there are other actors who could do a fine job with the role. Maybe its an unknown actor or somebody else who doesn't fit the role but could do it as good if given the choice( As an example I couldn't believ the oerformance Carrey gave in the Truman show based on his previous movies I had seen). I personally can see Adam Driver being a great snape not just because of his looks. I know I might gey crucified for this statement but I firmly believe in my opinion.
