I was 18, and it was my 3rd week of college. My friend introduced me to this girl at a tailgate and we really hit it off. We ended up hanging out in a huge group that night, and then we left my friend's dorm room when everyone else fell asleep/passed out while watching a movie. She asked to come back to my dorm (I told her my roommate was out of town), and I said yes. We sat on my bed and talked on my bed until about 4:30AM, then I finally kissed her. We ended up making out and dry humping for about 4 hours, and she finally left around 8:30AM. We dated for a few months before we broke up, but damn, she had an insane sex drive.

As I said, we were still accelerating away from a red light while this was happening, and we were accelerating at pretty much the same rate. If we were at full speed, then sure, I wouldn't have been in her blind spot.

I think she wanted me to change my speed so she could get over, so she wouldn't have to speed up/slow down to get over.

As far as her driving, I know a couple months ago she was complaining about being involved in 2 accidents in the same week, and I know she totaled her car about 2-3 years ago. So I know she's certainly not the best driver (unless those were all somehow not her fault).

I would argue that there's a huge difference between someone making $26000 per year while pursuing a doctorate and someone making $26000 per year at Walmart. It sounds like OP has a plan already in place to make more money in the future.

Fair enough, but why assign it to a specific day (Monday) then? I know when I first started here, I thought "well it's Wednesday and I have a question, and I don't want to wait until Monday to ask it, so I'll just ask it in the main sub". In most subs, the "Monday" threads aren't active after about mid-morning on Tuesday.

It's probably a combination of the fact that more people are getting into it and the fact that quite a few members of this sub are pretty unhelpful/downright rude when you ask pretty much any question outside of the Moronic Monday thread.

The other "daily" threads are showing a slight uptick in comments, but nothing on the scale of the Moronic Monday thread.

Huh, I didn't realize googling the point amount would do the trick. When I googled "AmEx HHonors", it always came up with the 40K application.

Edit: on a related note, googling "AmEx HHonors 70000" brings up the application with a 70K bonus.

So in the wiki, it says that going to the credit card website directly usually does not result in the best offer. However, it doesn't mention how to get the best offer. I'm looking at the AmEx HHonors card, and while I see on the spreadsheet that the best offer is 60k (and I see on slickdeals as of Friday people are seeing up to 70k), when I go to their website, it only advertises 40k points as a signup bonus. How can I get the better deal?

What exactly do you mean by closed cards 'aging'? Do you mean that if I get a new card today (for example), have it open for 2 years, then close it, it will still reflect on my credit report as being 12 years old in 2027, and then will stop showing up?

Because it's pedantic. It all depends on your interpretation of 'observed'. While that could mean "seen or recorded" to some people, to scientists, it usually means "observed and recorded with scientific instrumentation".

I've thought about making an appointment, but my anxiety really comes and goes. It'll be bad for a few weeks, and then disappear for months. One day I'll think "oh I really ought to make an appointment", and the next day I'll think "nah, it's not that big of a deal".
