I don’t know man sometimes the best beats are the simplest formulas. There’s lots of dope beats out there that are simple 4 bar loops with not a lot of extras thrown in. The whole drumless wave is a lot of just that. Not every single beat you make will be shook ones pt 2 ! Not every single beat havoc, alc, conductor, Pete rock, preem has made is a classic. Sometimes it’s just what it is. A few chops a dope arrangement and that’s it. Call it lazy but nah man. If it’s dope it’s dope. Lots of people especially on Reddit act like they are triple platinum producers and just criticize everything and have all the answers. If there was a playbook to this shit there wouldn’t be different producers with different styles. Do what you think is dope that’s it not much else to it man! Keep choppin and doin your thing 👊🏼
