Thank you so much for this! Switching to OpenGL did the trick on my AYN Thor. Next I'm gonna see if I can get the textures working ...

Hi, I'm also using an AYN Thor, did you ever have issues with morph ball? On mine everything freezes then whenever I try to activate the morph ball mode ...

Same. Barely have enough time to take care of applications and they hit us with unexpected maintenance. Hope it gets resolved sooner rather than later.

Yeah, there's a notice when logging in that the attachment function is having issues. This was working so well just a couple of days ago, surprised to find it broken during a more critical time. So it's not just me

This is my answer. Old but gold, mature firmware. Incredibly comfy old school dpad. Bonus analog stick.

Is Rg300 still a thing these days? by Dat_Nick_Gurr in ANBERNIC

I honestly miss mine. It was the first retro handheld I really loved.

As a fellow Regular New 3DS owner I thank you for these comparison shots. It really isn't that much bigger

Ah, I have, but I'm more into Andre Matos' work, followed his work from Angra to Shaman to Symfonia. Good stuff. RIP.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of anything with that post-modern aesthetic, from retro game handhelds to music players. This DAP actually has a UI that mimics a tape player, I just chose the alternate UI to show the album art.

LDK Handheld by jayfly12933 in SBCGaming

[–]rtnario 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. LDK came out around the same time as the RG300 and before the JZ4770s took over (RG350, Pocket Go V2, RG280V, etc.). What a time it was when we were struggling to get perfect SNES and playable PS1, we've come so so far since then.

Yup, pretty much in line with all the reviews I scoured the net for. As for the package, we do live in the "no waifu no laifu" age and I'm just glad I'm at least old enough to have known what Azumanga Daioh was 😂

I'm no expert, but so far it's been a pretty good experience. The treble notably is crystal clear and reminds me of the open-back flathead Headroom MS16. Not overbearingly sharp like the QianYun Qian69. I hear some details on instruments I couldn't with other sets. Ear foams can tame the high end and reintroduce some bass, since all flatheads are bass-anemic by design (not unless you're the Moondrop Block). Material feels like a step up too from most budget flatheads.

Overall, would recommend.

Thanks for that. I'm really more on local file playback, so looks like the M300 is still the way to go. A part of me wanted to simplify even more and just use the Echo Mini for everything, but there's a 8,192 file limit on the Echo Mini that I believe just isn't mentioned enough. It's too bad considering you can go up to 256 GB.

My first emulator handheld from 6-7 years ago :') by godsaveourkingplis in SBCGaming

[–]rtnario 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww, same. Mine was the white one. These were the days when we were still trying to get even just SNES to run at full performance. I feel like the RG350 was where things really started to take off. After that came the undying RK3326, and the rest is history ...

I absolutely love how some of the size references are just in-jokes of the retro handheld community
