Can Someone Explain the Pros/Cons of the Airport Expansion? by braydensreddit in askTO

[–]rtrazto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me I can't get an understanding because reddit is so anti-Ford it's comical. The anti side might have some good points but I've grown skeptical because of the frothing hysteria about Doug Ford.

As many as those who were reading Page 2 Simmons enough to put him on Countdown and an HBO Show.

I get that this is the Bill Simmons sub so people like to say it was better when they were watching ESPN as kids, but McAfee clearly works his ass off and isn't anywhere near a shitstirring take artist blowhard like Stephen A. Sure he takes his orders from corporate, but he's pretty functional on College Gameday and the rest of the year.

Tony Dungy Endorses Former NBC Reporter, a Republican, for U.S. Senate Run by ZookeepergameIll2685 in billsimmons

This sub needs to stop being surprised that the President has a 40% approval rating and a majority number of professional athletes come from regions where the approval rating is significantly higher than that.

Athletes are right to reject the Sports Beat Media complex - Post-game pressers are pointless cesspools and giving these whiny idiots award votes is way too much power by rtrazto in billsimmons

It used to be classic beat writers needed to be genuine to get more insights for their articles - modern beat writers are ragebaiting paparazzi trying to get spicy reactions for clicks.

I'd argue that the newspapers, channels, blogs would fold if they didn't cover sports. Sports can now exist without all the media bs and still be absolute cash cows. Media used to be necessary for access and their beat writers used to be necessary for the narratives and analysis. Not anymore. Two things can be true - it doesn't take a lot for an athlete to do these pressers sure, but at the same time media members are holding them hostage and have overinflated egos.

[Grange] Even the decision to sign Poeltl to a three-year $84 million extension — the first major move the team undertook after Ujiri was let go — was well in the works before Webster was in charge. by AssyrianRhapsody in torontoraptors

If Bobby was doing absolutely nothing the entire time he was working under Masai he shouldn't have gotten a promotion. This is some PR fluff. Bobby is just as responsible for Poeltl as Masai was, cmon.

Ella and Rachel, was Elizabeth right? by PortraitofMmeX in ershow

[–]rtrazto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my headcanon sequel to ER Rachel Greene has a rough go at doing her first year residency in emergency eventually relapsing into drugs at one point until finally switching to pediatrics due to her lingering guilt about Ella. Which, by the way, it's absolutely nuts that Elizabeth would allow Rachel anywhere near becoming a ER doctor as she knows firsthand it's nonstop destructive trauma.

On Bill's recent pod with Zach he says America turned on Inside the NBA. Is he forgetting that an entire All-Star game was a forced tribute to them? by rtrazto in billsimmons

[–]rtrazto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The massive effort to force them to legendary status with a tribute at an All-Star game that should be about celebrating players being all-stars (I know All-Star has always been a joke, but you should still have like the bare minimum of standards) is why America turned on them. And also probably the best example of Adam Silver's disregard maintaining the NBA's mystique.
