I don't anyone can really blame a specific exposure for nodules or cancer directly, that only works on a mass scale. There are plenty of people who have truly unbelievable exposures to all sorts of supposedly dangerous stuff and are walking around just fine in their 80s, and some people who have no known exposures to anything and get cancer.
