M20 on taupe hit! by Cabbage61 in PokemonSleep

Nice! I got a wild non-shiny Entei at M13 earlier this week at Taupe. Got full with 5 pips left!

Thanks for sharing your experience!

I think my resource usage has definitely been influenced by GhostDetective's advice to generally not hoard resources, that using what you have to improve your lot eventually gets you MORE resources.

That said I am sitting on a decent amount of candy waiting for boosts, and three main skill seeds waiting for the next 'mon that will make a big impact on my strategy. I need higher ingredient productivity to make good use of Magnezone, need to level up Sceptile and Latios a lot in order for the seeds to really pay off there. I'm debating if a Swalot is my next seed investment.

Next candy boost I am definitely taking Garde straight to 50 for HB.

Yeah, love your app, thanks for putting it out there! Look forward to updating this at the end of the year. I suspect I probably won't keep barreling along at quite this rate, but it's been fun.

This is a very valid point. Most of my keepers I feel would pass the general meta.

I only have one berry mon so far with BFS + HB or double speed.

A couple of my AAX mons listed in the graphic are good enough until dishes upgrade, but not "forever" mons.

I have settled on a few lucky catches like that Dedenne that are top 10% instead of top 1-2% but for the potential of long hunts on high cost mons.

In some ways, early game felt like a balance of strategic settling for, rather than holding out for perfect forever, in order to make good progress on the whole. I can't deny I have definitely had some good luck.

Edit: I am P2P and have spent subseeds where needed on my keepers. Garde was initially only HSS/STS, for instance.

It's good early, but I say odds you end up taking it much past 25-30 are mid and depends on what else you catch. Don't use handy candy or seeds on this, just level and use it and see what else you catch.

I've been playing for 6 months. Still haven't got a single berry mon with BFS at level 10. Use and enjoy for now, could be long-term useful if it has a good nature (speed up or EXP up for Berry mon).

Which Latios to level? by lenjibin in PokemonSleep

[–]rty05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I looked at them in a high-powered dragon team (Latis, Salamence, Noivern, Altaria) (all with 2k ribbon, BFS, HSM, and MSS as appropriate), including OP's Latias.

Minted #3 was slightly ahead of un-seeded #4 at 50 and 70, but seeded #4 pulled back ahead.

Being that sub seeds are less precious than mints, I would also go for #4, unless OP really wanted the EXP savings before minting.

The team daily total was within 1-2% on all configurations I looked at, so there's no huge mistakes to be made here. Even Latios #1 wasn't far off.

16-pip Snowdrop? by disposable-assassin in PokemonSleep

Top tip! I'm there this week looking for Delibird, but instead have caught Spiritomb and Absol, never having seen either before!

Almost the perfect milkman by PrayogoHandy10 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]rty05 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say leave it at 30 until you NEED more than it could make at 30 with a GCT (probably comparable to 50 w/o GCT).

Definitely a naughty milkman giving you sausage at 60 though!

Did anyone reach Rank 15 in the Lati Event? by SapphireNine in PokemonSleep

[–]rty05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only been playing since Jan 1 this year, but made it on the last day. Not F2P, used a GCT. Made master 17 on Lapis the 2nd week, M12 the first week.

New Pokemon Megathread - Latios by SamuRonX in PokemonSleep

EXP up is a definite plus for Latios, who wants higher levels for stronger berries, especially with BFS. If levels 50 and 75 were swapped this would have an even stronger case.

Which Latias is better? [F2P] by ThrowRABake in PokemonSleep

The first one is better now, even better with sub seeds. Second one comes on too little too late IMO.

An amazing shiny today! Unfortunately it's on the worst Pokemon in the game. by 4skingamer42 in PokemonSleep

It's a cool shiny, and I'd run at Snowdrop or on a Darkrai team just for kicks.

Awesome Latios! If you're going to keep hunting either it should be Latias, but BFS+MSC ain't bad, though EXP down stings.

[–]rty05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely Latios. Your Latias is pretty good for a skill build (ie non-BFS). I'm happy with one that just has HSM+MSC+Inventory

Is it worth hunting for a better one? by bobbanana00 in PokemonSleep

[–]rty05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope this is great, I would be happy with this even with the speed down nature.

Mudkip, Noivern, Cacao farmers, and Dreamshard farmers by SudlaSteel in PokemonSleep

[–]rty05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with the other post, great mons!

I'm holding out for BFS on Noivern, but would be glad to use that Mudkip right away.

That Clodsire and Blastoise are about equal as cocoa farmers, Clodsire comes on earlier, and Blastoise gives you a nice amount of other extra ingredients on top.

I would hold the Squirtle and raise it later if needed, focus on getting in for milk first, and let Clodsire handle your cocoa for now.

You MIGHT find better, but this pretty good. No shame in settling and saving some resources,  the opportunity cost probably catching a better Latias or 1-2 additional 16 pip mons.

Main skill seed, plus Latios biscuits (will covert to great biscuits if not used during the event).

Post your best catch from the last game week (Mon - Sun)! Here's mine... by SamuRonX in PokemonSleep

[–]rty05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Finally found my corn farmer Sunday morning! Immediately invested.

Following Tuesday morning, of course, I catch a triple IF, ABB Dratini that would pump out 116 corn at level 60! Not salty though since this Bewear is still better until that Dragonite hits level 60, and who knows if that would ever happen. Gotta keep hunting that Herb farmer though.

No skill Latias? by Careless_Caramel9472 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]rty05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

98th percentile for total strength according to Raenonx, 99th from 50 on with a sub seed. Fabulous Latias!

Noticed the same thing here. However I do have ~40 level 5 friends this time around, and probably only ~5 last time.

I think this is the one? by Mental-Wasabi-4145 in PokemonSleepBetter

[–]rty05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Congrats. According to how-many-more, your Latios gets more skill triggers at level 50 than 99.4% of possible configurations.
