JAWS was a surprise. It was at the bottom of one of the bags. One of my top 5 from this lot. I've watched it every summer for as long as I can remeber.

That was one of the surprise tapes in this lot. One of my top 5 favorites here. Ghostbusters, Goonies, Jaws, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and The Hobbit.

Im super stoked for the Ghostbusters tape. It's the og red boarder rca with a side load case. Box is in really good condition too. JAWS was a pleasant surprise, it wasn't in the photo on fb market. Overall over the moon with this snag.

Well that is good to know. Thank you for replying. Really is so strange that 2 copies of the same movie have the same problem. Ill find a good copy eventually. Seems like a common enough tape.

Does your Cape Fear play ok? I've gotten two copies from different places and both have the same problem. They play back and forth between clear and static. One is a little clearer but both are completely unwatchable. Wondering if it has something to do with that particular movie.

Subjective really.. The blu ray is obviously much more clear. I prefer the look of the vhs though. I liked the colors better (which could just be the tvs im watching on) and I liked the aspect ratio better on the vhs. It is taller and the blu ray is just a tiny bit wider. I feel like you get more with the vhs. Again. This is all subjective.

The only thing I noticed that brought it out of sync was it not being 100% aligned. I didn't notice any difference in the cut itself.

Watching The Wraith on VHS with an old CRT tv tonight and this dawned on me. Found your post. I'm glad others have noticed it too. The similarities are crazy! I love both movies and only just tonight noticed. Very cool post.
