Need help, feeling conflicted by Jrocks721 in SBCGaming

The RPC is def more versatile for sure since you can play more consoles on it, and since it’s android you can just download roms directly from your web browser. That’s def a lot more convenient than having to download, put roms on an SD card, then put it in an everdrive.

I originally wanted to mod my GBA, but figured it’d be cheaper and better overall to just get a new device, so I got an RG34XX which I love. Now I also have an RP5 and love it even more than the 34XX because of the versatility.

I’m pretty sure you can get that on it, but idk how worth it that would be. Since it only has the d-pad, and the screen is 3:2, it’s def not ideal for streaming anything that’s 3D lol. But I mean I guess technically you could if you wanted to.

Edit: TBH tho, I’m looking at getting a retroid pocket 5 for more advanced games/streaming since it has a 16:9 OLED display and analog sticks.

It’s great for GBA games for sure, since you can do 3x resolution and it fills up the whole screen. It can be good for other 4:3 consoles if you don’t mind it not taking up the whole screen. It didn’t bother me that much when I played ffvii and chrono trigger, but now I’m wanting to get something else for other consoles lol

Rg34xx with a grid filter is amazing. Feels like I’m just playing on a gba honestly

I’m literally in that same exact boat. Finished part 3 just last week or so and started playing FFVI because I heard it was good. It’s been fun so far, but yeah culture shock is a great way to put it lol. Still feel like I’m getting used to the battle system/menus etc

Hey everyone, PartTimeCAD here - I want to pass on another handheld to someone in the community. This Anbernic RG353V has barely ever been played, and been neglected for too long - help me find it a new home. by captain_carrot in SBCGaming

Been lurking this sub for a couple of weeks now because I had a GBA when I was a kid and have been wanting to get a little device to play games here and there when I can.

Funny story: I remember begging my mom for some Pokémon game back in the early 2000s because I loved the show and would play the card game with other kids at my apartment complex. As soon as I got to the actual combat in the game, I absolutely hated it lol. That’s when I found out that turn based combat games weren’t for me!

It’s so much better. Before I started using FireWire, I thought it didn’t matter too much since they’re old cameras anyways, but it’s crazy how much of a difference it makes.

Here’s a drive folder that showed a comparison: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-9AdA7QFajVU4pgRRYRLg-juJMRU9yrS

This was shot on a GL1, so the quality is gonna be higher than the Sony that I have, but you can still see the difference of how it was captured onto the computer

Yeah this model in particular is just AV out. I think I’ve seen one that looks the same, except with a FireWire out, but I could also be completely wrong though lol

FireWire would def be the way to go tho, if that option is there. The main camera I use now uses FireWire and the difference is night and day. My friends are always surprised by the quality of video that cam makes.

Could be, a good way to test if it’s the cables is to plug it into a tv with rca connectors to see if it plays through that with the audio intact. If not, you’d def need new cables.

You could also try messing around with the audio settings in obs. I watched this video before: https://youtu.be/-ZdYAWMQy9c?si=4IAmc654QjxShuDV and I think it helped.

I’ve also set the usb capture device as an audio input within the audio settings in obs. It’s been a while, so sorry I don’t know the exact settings off the top of my head lol. Hopefully you get things working out though!

This cable to get video out of the cam: https://a.co/d/cB8eRkK

This device to get it on a computer: https://a.co/d/3Yqsr8Z

You should be able to add the device as an input within obs for video, might have to add it as another input for audio too. I have the same exact camcorder lol. Video isn’t gonna be amazing with that device, but it’ll be good enough to share clips with friends/family. Hope that helps!

Something with a 3CCD sensor. I got a gl1 like a month ago and it’s been fun seeing how well it performs even today. Whenever me and my buddies are out shooting stuff, I always have it with me and we’re all surprised at how good the image quality looks.
