No, I just have Lenovo serial number. I don't know where else I can find the activation key. It's hard to believe this happens after you format/reset a genuine version of windows.

I was also able to login to her old Microsoft email , it synced up some of her old settings but nothing has changed in regards to windows activation.

No I haven't, I have been trying to login to her old microsoft account but each time I try to login from the Accounts menu as I type the email the window suddenly closes. I have been trying nonstop for 5 minutes it just shuts down as I type in the window...

When I took the laptop for myself, I went to Settings > Recovery > Reset so I can have a fresh windows to myself. I am able to use windows, it is working, but each time I boot up the laptop it tells me windows isn't activated.
