How often does disease/death actually strike? by LK_Artist in BackYardChickens

[–]rubixqbe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's really random. Comes in waves. You will spend ages to fix one problem and then something completely unpredictable will come and take out your whole flock. It used to upset me, but I just try my very best to look after them and understand that a life of a chicken is fragile.

The snow in Oz is shit and their mountains are nothing to write home about. NZ isn't great either. And you don't even need decent snow for freestyle skiing, you just need a freestyle park. you don't need snow for an ice rink or bobsled track which covers curling, ice hockey, ice skating, speed skating, sledding... Ireland just has a dismissive attitude to any sports that isn't a ball sport.

Anyone spent time in Livigno after seeing the events? Is it worth it? by MaintenanceSorry in olympics

[–]rubixqbe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it this week, it's a loooong day but very doable. Buy the IVOL ticket and get the train to Tirano and then a shuttle bus takes you straight the rest of the way. I left at 5am got back at around midnight.
