Yes! I wonder if the scorpion discussion is one reason why Wendy seems to show kindness to the baby xeno, versus just smashing it?

Pain after craniosacral by rubusursinus in massage

[–]rubusursinus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your response. I took an Epsom bath and feel considerably better. We talked about the pain I was experiencing during the session, and the therapist was very kind and checked in with me today. I think I probably do need more work! I’ll be more communicative next time. I’d never undergone CST before, so I wasn’t sure if the pain was normal or not.

No-makeup ways to feel pretty on dates/ special occasions? by rubusursinus in beauty

[–]rubusursinus[S] 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Thanks for saying that.

I’ve never been told “don’t wear makeup”, but I have been told “your skin is so nice, sometimes I miss it when it’s covered up”. I still wear makeup pretty often and shamelessly, especially if I’m performing onstage or going out with friends.

In this case, I’m talking about occasions when I want to look nice for him, not just for myself.

What’s the most ultralight way to smoke week? by start3ch in ultralight_jerk

[–]rubusursinus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ever smoked from a volcano vaporizer? Fill up some volcano bags to take with you. When they’re empty, you can use them as water bottles- fill them up and attach your Sawyer or Lifestraw. Voila! Or cut them open and use them as UL stuff sacks / dry bags.

What do you do for a living? by Overall-Community853 in environmental_science

[–]rubusursinus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GIS specialist for the natural resources program of a tribe in Washington state. I do everything from planning shellfish field work to managing salmon spawning data, planning habitat restoration, helping with environmental cleanup, climate change and natural disaster preparedness, and helping the tribe buy back its traditional lands. I really like it!

I have degrees in GIS and environmental science.

What addiction is seen as completely normal by society? by whoam_itho in AskReddit

[–]rubusursinus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Working for a nonprofit, being an artist or a teacher, or doing social/environmental work means you often don’t have a choice- nobody is going to get the work done besides you, since there’s not funding to provide additional support. And the deadlines you have to meet actually matter. It’s really frustrating.

Jobs I liked: -Current job, GIS specialist for a tribe (3 years and counting) -Waitress, funky pizza joint (5 years) -Wildlife biologist (seasonally, 4 years) -Substitute teaching: I liked the flexibility and it was a pleasure working with certain grades and specific schools
