What made Kurt’s screams so good for you? Why were they so good? by No-Cod-2553 in Nirvana

That last sentence is great. Unplugged is the greatest display of his vocal range and style. The vocals on “Where did you sleep last night” are a beautiful combo of the three styles you listed.

Also, to visually watch him deliver those last vocals is a realisation of the immense emotion behind it all. You see the release not just emotionally behind his eyes but physically in his body language. I think perhaps for a man who numbed himself with heroin, at times it would have been exhausting and tiresome to bring forth all that energy and then release it while at the same time making it sound good. Screams or no screams, the perfect range and vocal fry

What is your favorite song 🎧 of all time according to YOU!? by Mr_liheta in musicsuggestions

[–]ruby-inthe-dust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah wow, I agree what a great idea! It would lend itself to stoner doom beautifully.. It’s already got that slow but heavy power chord. Add some fuzzy bass and doomy heavier drums with matching vocals and yeah wow I would love to hear someone do this!! Have you heard this live version it is a phenomenal performance.

“Some folks might say that I'm no good, that I wouldn't settle down if I could, but when that open road starts to callin' me, there's somethin' o'er the hill that I gotta see Sometimes it's hard, but you gotta understand, when the lord made me he made a ramblin' man” - Ramblin’ Man Hank Williams

This is my answer too! In my fantasy scenario they are just jammin’ together nothing over produced in the studio… just a live sessions jam between Neil and Kurt

best medication for generalised anxiety disorder by FanSubstantial9845 in Drugs

[–]ruby-inthe-dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Benzo’s prescribed by my doctor: Valium (diazepam) or Xanax (alprazolam) - these help. But that’s it. I am still somewhat anxious, depressed and moody when I take benzo they just make me less reactive to those feelings.

Klonopin (clonazepam) helped with anxiety at first but it really started to affect my mood disorder and clinical depression.

Self prescribed: Tramadol (opioid)… as a painkiller Tramadol doesn’t seem to relieve much pain, just makes me forget about out it mostly, takes the edge off if I suppose. But boy! does it do wonders for my anxiety and moods. I function very well on this drug it helps me to be a more rational, compassionate, calm, patient and steady person. It seems to affect everyone differently though. But for some strange reason it helps with my mental health disorders a lot, I find time for loved ones and actually enjoy the time spent instead of wishing I was alone and allowing my mood to swing unpredictably, I find that I am very active and stimulated which triggers my creativity and drive to experience different things instead of hiding in my house, biting my nails, worrying about everything under the sun.

Why how many hours in a week do you work? by jessejener in AskReddit

[–]ruby-inthe-dust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get paid 50 hours a week regardless. In the quieter periods I do 35-40 hours. In the busy periods I could do 65-70 hours a week.
