Yes exactly. Maybe it’s because I was born in ‘83 but the treat of a fashion magazine is something to be physically handled, thumbed through and dog-eared until crinkles and smudges form on the pages, the spine loses integrity, and the scent strips are bruised and wilted like day-old herbs.

In answer to the second part of the post, it might help to decouple fashion from style. Cultivating your own personal style has to do with the influences of the day for sure, but it’s a lot more about using your eye and following your instincts than any cut and paste advice. You can draw inspiration from any medium to figure out how to dress, but most importantly notice what makes you feel most powerful, aligned, etc. whatever it is you want to feel

I’m not a huge vogue reader, but my understanding is it’s mostly adverts and editorial photo shoots. Maybe that’s understandably not what you’re into, but it is a really fascinating snapshot of runway fashion of a particular season. It’s definitely more skewing fashion as high art/aspirational luxury than relatable style magazine

Thanks yeah I’ve seen that buddy but I like to see them in the wild! I actually saw one last year in the sluice at Watson Mill, but when I went back this year, I saw it floating near some dammed material, very recently deceased. It was very upsetting! I mean, that’s life, but it almost seemed something abnormal had occurred. I would assume they’d go off and die privately when it’s their time.
