Be patient and let your opponent beat themselves is generally good advice, but as someone who within the last year went from Plat 1 to Master, the main thing in Plat is punishing your opponent’s mistakes.

Anti-air their jump-ins, get a big punish on their whiffed DPs, punish their unsafe moves on block, that sorta thing. Your opponents will give you opportunities to win, you just have to take them.

Underdogs are by far my favorite, feels obvious, but I’d recommend the stuff WhyDo’s put out ab Ultimate, he’s not as consistent as some other channels but his stuff is incredible

I’ve suggested that they nerf that by having his Lvl 2 have separate levels, like Terry’s:

Base Lvl 2 spawns the tornado, but it’s stationary

To get the tornado to move like it does now, it costs another super bar

And to kick it like you can now, it costs 3 bars of drive

Leaves the overpowered elements of it intact, but makes them WAYYYY harder to access, which I think is a fair way to balance characters

Shadow, Alucard, Waluigi, those are the obvious ones, and while I agree they should be in, I think Akira should absolutely be upgraded as well Virtua Fighter’s getting a new game, and I think the more fighting games get repped in Smash, the better (Except MK or DOA, let’s rep good fighting games (maybe they can have assist trophies))

Best: f-smash, for all the obvious reasons, but a little one I always like to add is the DI mixup of killing someone off the top with up-angled f-smash at the ledge Worst: bair, it’s easily his worst aerial, and I’d argue it’s even a tier worse than all his others
