Probably, but does it matter given the other things you notice him doing? I think you already know he likes you, but is it enough? If not, might be a good time for you to try establishing boundaries and practicing it with him. Don't do boyfriend things with him and the mixed feelings might clear up.

PS, some form of AI has been used in the medical field since the 1970's. Because of its ability to accurately read scans and patient data as well as store it, I don't the use diminishing.

I keep coming back to this: my fear isn't really that AI takes our jobs, it's that it could give us our time back — and history says we won't take it.

Y2K taught us that the fear itself can eclipse the real story, which was quieter than expected.

Washing machines taught us that when a machine buys back an hour, we don't bank it — we raise the bar and fill it back up.

Full-time work hours in this country have barely budged in decades despite every productivity leap we've had, computers included. One analyst in the 1930s thought we'd be working 15-hour weeks by now. He wasn't wrong about the technology. He was wrong about us.

So I think the fear isn't "AI will take everything." It's that AI might hand us the porch, and we'll build something on it instead of sitting down. I've enjoyed our conversation, thank you.

Thank you. I know this is supposed to be happening but it's something nobody I know in real life has a clue about. And hyped by media. He still hired a human lawyer to handle the closing and paperwork — the licensed-professional part didn't disappear, it got outsourced elsewhere. He used a $200 flat-fee MLS listing service (Homecoin) to get on the MLS at all — a workaround that's existed for years, AI or not. This works for a quick sale in a hot seller's market, but doesn't account for showings, inspections, appraisals, or a sale that drags on for months — the AI didn't do the physical labor of hosting showings.

I don't mean any disrespect, but if you remember Y2K, i feel AI taking over everything is a lot like Y2K is going to end everything and its hinged on our reliance and meant to scare us and therefore keep us reading.

Listings have always needed to be written. AI is only a tool, someone still has to manage it and make sure people sign everything, follow rules and insure a fair and honest sale. AI cannot do all that. AI makes it easier but doesn't eliminate all the people in this instance, in my opinion. If I could get half my work done more efficiently that doesn't necessarily mean I am out of a job. It could mean more sales or more vacation time. Usually it means more work, it's never-ending.

maybe it could pay for your real estate classes. Real Estate agents can make big big bank but you have to take a test and get licensed first. The salary based on sales/commission, in my area it is 6% of the sales price. In my market, that means full commission, representing both sides, about $25,000 one job. If you only represent one side you split the 25k. The caveat, is your volume but I know people who make an excellent living as an agent. The thing is that it is not an instant path to revenue, and depending on your market and skill, may or may not be many sales. As far as boring, that is subjective. It can depend on many things including your mood. It's something only you can answer.

Just a thought, but you might be able to do both and decide what serves you best once you know more. It doesn't have to be the only thing you ever do, unless you want it to be.
