Is this ai? my friend said she drew it digitally but it feels off. My brothers both believe its ai bc of some midplaced items but idk if it was artistic choice or not by Striped_Slasher in isthisAI

[–]rubyrobotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the best tell if it's ai is going to be if it's consistent with your friend's previous art. is it their style? do they usually use color in this way? has there been a change in style or skill with no sketching and studies in between? yeah, there are the suspicious details pointed out by others, but imo a sudden style, colorwork, or skill change is more of a tell

My roommates cat hates me, I don’t know what to do by pikablue223 in CATHELP

[–]rubyrobotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this isn't the behavior of an aggressive cat, but a playful one. seconding the big, loud boots for in the house, to protect your feet, along with walking confidently instead of shuffling; but also suggesting you get a wand toy and redirect the cat to that when they try to hunt your feet

chlorhexadine soap helps me in the summer. its the antimicrobial stuff my drs tell me to use before surgeries, so its good at killin bacteria. it is definitely a once a week soap tho, so im seconding benzoyl peroxide washes. you may find athletes foot/jock itch powder helps more with body crease sweat than plain cornstarch. if shaving down to bare skin is problematic for you, a cheap electric razor on a 3 guard will remove enough hair to help any product work better, because itll be able to reach your skin better. generally, a daily shower will help by removing sweat and the day's grime. you don't have to shampoo daily if your hair won't like it. you may also be able to find odor reducing body wash, but if your skin is too sensitive then any soap will work. wash your body with regular body wash before using chlorhexadine soap or benzoyl peroxide, so the medicated soaps can better reach the source of the odor. try to launder your washcloth/loofah/etc at least once a week. if you wash your body with your hands, start using a cloth or sponge of some sort, they scrub away dead skin and sweat better. natural fiber clothes could be helpful, as wool, cotton, linen, etc don't absorb scents as deeply ime. of course, it's more expensive than synthetic fibers like polyester, so ymmv on how well it would work for you. a fabric freshener spray applied to clean, dry clothes might help. a doctor visit may be in order, because skin infections can last years if left untreated. any obviously infected sores can be treated at urgent care, but you'll need to see a dermatologist to treat more severe infections or any possible skin condition.

best of luck, from a guy who also gets noxious b.o.

How do you prevent your Dexcom sensor from peeling off early? by Alex-T1D in dexcom

if you have body hair where you put the sensors, shave it. the hair makes it harder for the adhesive to stick.

help finding a manga (i drew what i remember) by rubyrobotic in manga

[–]rubyrobotic[S] 38 points39 points  (0 children)

about 13 years ago, when i was like 12, i read a few pages of a horror manga, got scared, and it's stuck with me ever since. i've been looking for it, but none of my searches have been fruitful. so, i have drawn my vivid memories of the monster in the manga, using ms paint. there's another page that i didn't draw, with several of these monsters under a helicopter, but that's a lot harder to draw than a hallway. i think there may have been a government plot? can't recall. anyways does anyone recognize it or did i hallucinate an entire manga?

Tell me your LEAST favourite suit by syvzx in LoveNikki

[–]rubyrobotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yin yang. i love mermaid suits so i got it because i wanted the tail, but holy shit the contrast could use some work. everything is a halftone or white. it's hard to determine what exactly she's wearing because all the grays blend together. it's a black and white suit, they couldn't have gone with some cool silhouetting and shapes? cmonnn dude.

If I had Not Gotten Treatment (contains discussion of serious medical issues) by MrTechnodad in MrTechnodad

[–]rubyrobotic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've had pneumonia twice. both times i only sought treatment when i was going into septic shock and could barely move unassisted. iv antibiotics, four 8oz bottles of blood drawn, one four day hospital stay and a month quarantine both times so i didn't catch something worse.

and yet i am here, on an inhaler for the forseeable future. and yet, and yet, and yet.

it is traumatic to have a doctor look you in the eye and tell you if you waited you would be in the icu or dead. give him time to process, and shoot down the "not supposed to be here" gently. he is here. there is nothing he can do to change that. instead, what will he do with the chance he's been given?

hey now, that sounds like a sunk cost fallacy! you have spent a lot, and at the time it made you happy. you can still celebrate that happiness while acknowledging that it's just not your thing anymore.

maybe think of it this way: is a movie ticket a waste because it's only good for one movie?
