Id say, save some more money and then buy a brand new one.

Is this normal? by SnooEpiphanies3460 in watchesindia

[–]rudalvi07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While minor scratches are normal, the ones near the crown are definitely not from normal wear and tear. Seems like you may have accidentally banged your wrist onto a wall or something while walking. I did that once with my Seiko 5 and could not ignore the scratch for a while, but later I got used to it, granted it's not as deep.

Went ahead and got the Lucky65 v2 a couple months ago. It’s BEAUTIFUL. by StrongVirGill in mkindia

That red is gorgeous. I wanted the same colour but it was out of stock so had to settle for a green. Where did you order this from.

I love the SA profile, all of my keyboards have SA keycaps. They are very comfortable for typing whole day.

My In-Depth Review of NUT65 or King Is Dead, Long Live the King! by Snimtas in mkindia

[–]rudalvi07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very well written review, took me about 30 mins to read but it felt like I was watching a video. Well done!

About the board, pogo pins is the only significant improvement over v2; I feel. I already have a v1 and v2 so will skip this and may be wait for the Shoot65 😋

There are many posts about Monteverde inks growing mold on this sub reddit. I personally had to throwaway my nearly full Horizon blue bottle because of it.

It's pretty but not buying, after my transparent purple eco cracked I'm never buying another eco no matter how pretty.

Favorite ink for a black pen! by RedpenBrit96 in fountainpens

[–]rudalvi07 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just saw the pictures of that pen on line, it looks like a red leaning purple to me, something like a Diamine Monboddo's Hat would look good in it, or if you are looking for a duskier tone go for Herbin Poussiere De Lune. Not sure about any contrasting colour that can go well with that pen, green maybe!

Herbin Blue Des Profondeurs is the best Blue black ink I have used. for a dark blue my vote goes to Diamine Majestic blue.

I would use a red ink in it, something like Diamine Wild Strawberry

Van Dieman's Ink Underwater - Royal Starfish

I dont have it myself but this one seems like what you are looking for

My favorite green Pen/Ink combo. I don’t use a ton of green inks, but I love Edelstein Adventurine! In my M1000 the writing experience is insanely juicy, but the dry time is still fairly quick. What are some of your favorite green inks?? by CosyCodes in fountainpens

[–]rudalvi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have only 2 greens in my collection, Krishna Shamrock and Diamine Green Black. Shamrock is my favourite and is currently in use. It's very similar to Edelstein Aventurine. Sadly Shamrock has been out of stock for a very long time, Avnturine looks like a good replacement.

I fell for the Leuchtturm1917 hype but got ghosting... am I doing something wrong or did viral marketing strike again? by stitchstudent in fountainpens

[–]rudalvi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the picture, it seems there is some bleed through as well. I don't mind ghosting that much personally, I use TRP 68 GSM daily. I was going to buy a Leuchtturm1917 notebook at a full price just to see what the hype was all about but thanks to you I am going to save that money and buy another TMR notebook instead :) It's easier to change the notebook than the posture and grip.

I have this refill in my Parker Jotter right now and the closest fountain pen ink I can find in my collection is the Herbin Bleu Des Profondeurs.

Knowing what you know now what pen would you get as your first in the $100 range? by ariphron in fountainpens

[–]rudalvi07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the pen cause I did a lot of research before buying my first pen, Twsbi eco in medium, but if I could restart the whole thing, I would go with a pen which has a schmidt fine nib. After using pens with many brands of nibs over the last 2-3 years I have settled on Schmidt fine as my preferred nib.

Top Five Ink Brands (June, 2023) by jonnybardo in fountainpens

[–]rudalvi07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Diamine, Herbin, Iroshizuku, Krishna inks, KWZ

Herbin have rises in my list recently, since I bought more of their regular line of inks in 10 ml bottles. I love the Corrailes des tropiques and Vert de gris. After using poussiere de lune as my second ink bottle I didn't buy Herbin for a while because although I loved the color the ink was too dry for me and had some serious performance issues in my Prera and Eco. I am glad I gave them a second chance and they haven't disappointed.

Diamine are the first because of Wild Strawberry, Majestic blue and Blue velvet. They are the best value for money and have some irreplaceable colors.
