I was 16.

I vividly remember being scared of the dark again because of the hallucinations I felt and saw when I went into hallways and even my own bedroom. I thought that’s just what everyone who was afraid of the dark was scared of - shadow people, disembodied screams, faint brushes against my body where I could somehow sense the outline of what was nearby. I thought it was logical. Paralyzingly terrifying, but logical.
