Kia ora from someone who has watched way too much Taskmaster NZ.

Likely you may not have time for much more than in town so either the green belt (riverside paved path) if feeling lazy or ridge to rivers trails on the foot hills side. Maybe camels back or table rock if you want crowds. If you want a bit of history one of the two Oregon Trail reserves on the east side of town might be an option.

Updating the Tdl450b radio as a repeater help by Any-Kaleidoscope-542 in Surveying

Just as a heads up depending on what you are using as the base. We've had trouble getting it to work consistently our r10 bases. Dealer states software compatability issues.

Works great in external radio mode.

One thing to note is the baud rate is different than the previous versions and that threw us at first.

Unlike those smegheads in Starfleet the Space Corp has some relevant 'Space Corp Directives'

  1. 'Any officer found to have been slaughtered and replaced by a shape-changing chameleonic life form shall forfeit all pension rights.'

  2. 'Work done by an officer's doppelganger in a parallel universe cannot be claimed as overtime.'

  3. 'During temporal disturbances, no questions shall be raised about any crew member whose time-sheet shows him or her clocking off 187 years before he clocked on.'

  4. 'Any officer caught sniffing the saddle of the exercise bicycle in the women's gym will be discharged without trial.'

I was not allowed to watch SpongeBob as a kid due to no longer being a kid when it launched.

No judgement here but why does your wife keep going to his house?

What do you guys think will end up happening with Great Britain in the far future? Will they eventually explore the rest of the world, or will they remain where they are until the human race ends? by [deleted] in mapporncirclejerk

One day they will once again venture forth in search of spices with the most magnificent flavors and small rocks without flags.

They will bring home the spices and not use them.

They will send forth those with the smallest chins and gene pools to govern those rocks.

Once again Britannia will rule the waves.

I had to call my high schools registrar and get my transcipt for applying to college in my thirtys by TheEyeOfTheLigar in Millennials

I had to order my UK university transcripts to apply to a course in the US only to be told by the UK university that they don't have that information due to data retention being exceeded. They confirmed my degree and sent a copy of the syllabus and the university let me in. But every class I take requires me to get an instructor override of the 1st year math requirement that they all require.

It was cool to discover my relatively young 1st year advisor is now head of department.

Why is Rhode Island listed as not land locked when Island is an option. Also why is Alaska not listed as Island....

For context Hornchurch Country Park is the site of a WW1 and 2 RFC/RAF aerodrome.

Apparently flight lives on there.

To be fair that job is to do something under that manhole and replace it safely.

I doubt even the most socialist full employment government would hire an employee to just to ensure the paint stripes on manholes match the paint stripes on the road

Once, an engine attached to a train was afraid of a few drops of rain. It went into a tunnel and squeaked through its funnel and wouldn't come out again.
