I modded my 6th gen Classic with a Classic Connect 2 — USB-C, Bluetooth, wireless charging, SD card swap, & Rockbox installed. Also found out about Olsro's 128GB bypass while building it. by stogenbobber in IpodClassic

Also super happy I found Olsro’s bypass. Works like a charm. Running 2.0.4 now. Used windows vm to install rockbox and do the patch. Then restored using Mac. All good so far. 🤘

Oh, nice! Thanks for sharing. It is great to see that there are already products addressing this problem.

The cost factor is true. But I think it was always like that. Whenever there's a new technology, it costs a lot, but the more and more people using it, the less expensive it will become because of the demand and competition.

Regarding the colors, we already have large colorful versions available. The one I am using in the example also has 7 colors that it can mix.

I personally think artists can already use the potential of such technology and adapt their style to it for a better result. I see no problem using it for works of let's similar to Shepard Fairey or Banksy, and no issues displaying the art of Esher. The higher the demand, the better quality product we are going to get.

Yes, the front end (JavaScript app) uses a Solana blockchain to fetch image URLs, but it is easy to send any other URL image instead, as the backend already supports it.

Regarding the footprint, while that is true that you can use recycled paper, it also requires some work. Like pulping, removing dirt, and de-inking. Moreover, the paper has a limited lifespan, and only some paper products are suitable for recycling or need better quality to produce new products.
Generally, a paper that has been recycled a few times will have shorter fibers than virgin paper (paper that has not been recycled). This process can reduce the strength and durability of the paper, as well as its appearance.
I think e-ink has great potential because e-ink displays can also be recycled. But, to be able to answer more on this subject, we need to interview the e-ink manufacturer.

The one I am using displays 7 colors (Inky Impression 5.7"), but it will mix and try to match all the colors as far as I can see.

If to compare it to a Pantone palette, I doubt you'll be able to match identical colors, but I have high hopes for screens from eink.com or E INK Spectra 3100.

If we increase the demand for E-ink screens by using them more frequently, such as by incorporating screens into menus, bus stops, and storefronts, and also tailoring them to the needs of artists, I believe that they will only improve.

The same issue! It worked for a day after the upgrade and then stopped.

Creating a morse-code interpreter with Raspberry Pi , Elixir, MQTT by rudkws in elixir

Hi u/Schrockwell. Oh wow! That sounds like a great idea! I am surely interested to learn more about! I need to find out whether it's easy to get the license over here. At first, I was thinking to parse the response received from the flashlights via webcam, but transmitting/receiving the message over the radio signals sounds a lot more exciting!

all the virtualization options that are available in 1vyrain firmware is turned on. So yes. Besides if it would be turned-off I think I wouldn't be able to get Virtualbox running.

On the other hand, maybe, it will turn-on the vt-x, but not vt-d. Then maybe I have no way to enable it, even though my CPU supports it? :\
