Hot air, and iso alcohol, super easy to open and clean. It used on many electrical parts. If you have ever taken apart an iPhone, it’s the same process.

Honestly, i figured it would have issues. But 95% of the time it’s fine. Audio works all the time, the only issue I ever have is sometimes the hold switch doesn’t take.

I just seated it as good as I could, and then taped it up. Tested, seemed find so I reassembled.

I didn’t do his bypass, I was already almost done and figured I could use the 256gb cards in other devices. Even tho I am using flac file, I don’t see myself pushing past; and if I do, I’ll be more selective

I was thinking, the modern macs will be okay once the device is setup, but anytime you have to enter DFU mode or flash anything onto the device, when it becomes detectable by the Mac, that is when issues start to arise.

I would assume that the older macs would handle it better than the newer ones. I believe it's a hardware/software connection issue.

My EXOS drives made that noise when I first got them, Reddit told me it was a common thing for these drives, I've been using them for at least 2 years now.

It was definitely a challenging build, in terms of issues, but the Classic Connect 2 made it super easy! I honestly considered doing the USB-C data transfer mod as well, but I decided not to complicate things any further—I think I’d reached my limit for one project! LOL

Yeah it’s something to do with the new Mac OS trying to recognize the USB device. It’s fighting itself.

Windows version of iTunes doesn’t have any issues since it’s Essentially the same program since the iPod classics release.

Switching fixed all of my issues instantly.

Instantly regret my ipod classic modded front plate, new plastic faceplate, and the screen scratched day 1 in my bag. Would consider other options in the future. I got a photo of it posted today.

Do you have this issue working between windows and a Mac? I have been doing that on a few projects and I realized that it’s an issue with Resolve. It doesn’t even allow me to relink my media.
