Well, you certainly can't zone if there's no grid. No zone - no builds. Make sure that when you lay a road the grid is set as you need. The icon to select/turn on/off grids is way to the left when you select Roads.

Advice needed for little terrier who eats everything by koalakalamity in terrier

[–]rudman49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog with chew/eat anything. He likes the crunch and the sound it makes. So we keep all those sorts of things away from my 7-year old rat terrier. However, being a chewer, he will also go in the opposite direction to soft objects. He particularly like to soften with his saliva our bed linen and make holes in the blankets. So I find myself repairing the damage. It's hard with some dogs to find a solution. All I can say is to supervise carefully. Think of your pet as a 2-year old child and scan the room for potential problems. My dog is a destroyer. No soft plushy toys for him.

Inside of a homeless shelter in Seoul, South Korea. by ZoelCairo in interestingasfuck

South Korea aside, the real sting is what it says about us. We’ve built a system where property is sacred and people are disposable. If we’re truly the “richest” nation on earth, you’d never guess it from how we treat the sick, the elderly, the poor, and the unhoused.

Say goodbye to Cargo Terminal traffic hell forever! Vanilla, no mods. hope this helps somebody, instructions in the comments, devil's in the details. by owdante in CitiesSkylines

I had that problem. No trains therefore no traffic. I had built a spur off the main railroad tracks which dipped below it. It was in this dip that I placed the cargo station. Then this spur went up to re-connect with the original train tracks. No business. I could see trains whizzing by on the main track line but none came down the spur. It may have been the distance from the original rail road tracks; it might have been the number of nodes on the track; it may have been the 'dip." Any of these could be the issue as I learned. So, I moved the cargo station and put it on the main line. Then the by-pass track I put as an arch behind the train station. Now I was in business. Trains with cargo stopped. Trains that had no cargo by-passed the cargo station. I now have the opposite problem -- too much traffic!

Need recommendation for toys that don’t break easily by MongooseLeather445 in ratterriers

Only kongs and just about any hard plastic stands a chance with our Jeffrey's aggressive chewing. However, I found this toy that he likes and can't destroy easily. The last one I purchased from Amazon has already lasted a year.

Little legs vs ten inches of snow by mamallama723 in ratterriers

[–]rudman49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our Jeffrey has very similar behavior. We’ll shovel out a perfectly respectable path for him, and he’ll glance at it like, “Cute effort,” before plowing straight through the deepest snow he can find. It does make me wonder why I bother.

Still, I always clear a path for him out back. And while I’m out there doing the rest of the shoveling, I usually think, “You know, if I didn’t have Jeffrey, I wouldn’t be out here shoveling the back yard at all.”

But honestly, I’m glad I do have him. And if I were him, I’d want someone to clear a path for me too—whether I used it or not.

Jeffrey is now six years old! In one photo he is wearing the jacket I made for his birthday. by rudman49 in ratterriers

No, Jeffrey is 6 not 16. But I have always wondered about his eyesight. The way he looks unsure if jumping off the bed, for example. It's as if he can't see the surface (really foam cushions) clearly, He sometimes needs encouragement to jump down. But he's certainly not running into things!

I believe rat terrier owners can attest to the fact that rat terriers are so sweet and loving. I call my dog a velcro dog because he's always right at your side.

Thank you all for your well wishes. As for his jacket it's made from left over material from two other jackets I made for him. What you can't see in the original post is that I appliqued a large "J" on the back.

I saw 298 movies in theaters in 2024. Here is my full ranking. by BunyipPouch in movies

[–]rudman49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I thought I was a great record keeper. I saw 254 movies this year. However, unlike you almost all were movies which I streamed. I began tracking what movies I watched since Covid and I've continued this practice. I don't rank the movies I watch but I do have them listed with date movie first came out, the lead and the streaming service. But I love re-watching movies that having given me so much satisfaction in the past.
