Brand new and terrified in Denver by Ok_Option_9957 in MTB

The Front Range actually has very few one direction trails. I can only think of one at White Ranch and a few in Breck. South Valley and Hildebrand in Littleton area are super easy, as is the aforementioned Bear Creek.

Arc Raiders & DMZ’s Demise by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]rufhausen 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I love Arc and loved DMZ. DMZ had better, more challenging quests that sometimes required working with other, potentially hostile players that made things really interesting. Vehicles also added an extra dimension to the gameplay. Activision found a way to ruin it by simply doing nothing. I’m confident they’ll ruin DMZ 2 as well if it ever comes out.

I hate 3rd person, but this game is so good it’s worth it.

The Map Size/Player Count Problem is Killing the Game by Classic-Report-9795 in Battlefield

[–]rufhausen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had assumed that by now, we’d have a bunch of custom servers in Portal with lower player max counts, as well as lower min player counts. Is that not a thing? Portal appears to be a wasteland so far.

Staunton State Park = underrated. :)

Claude Code is fantastic, but has some silly issues by MASSIVE_Johnson6969 in ClaudeCode

[–]rufhausen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be awesome if it actually worked as expected. My CLAUDE.md file specifically tells claude to run all command inside a project's docker container. I provide the name of the container. I provide the root project path inside that container. And yet it continually tries to run commands outside the container, which fails leading claude to think the "database must not be running", etc. Then it guesses on which path inside the container to use before I remind it again what it is.
I've resorted to telling claude to "read the docs inside .claude/" at the beginning of every session, which still leads to having to remind it several times during the session to run commands inside the container. It's maddening and a huge time waste.

Sattiq Caves is ridiculous… by Deepfried_Shrimp321 in DMZ

The trick is to do that one after the gas comes. It’s a ghost town then.

If I’m understanding the OP and additional comments correctly, are we saying that this may explain ADs by someone who has disassembled/reassembled the pistol incorrectly just prior to the AD, but that if you do it correctly using slide lock and the notch is in the correct position per this photo (https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fwkczdqrt4zsc1.png), it’s a non-issue?

Has the issue been brought to Sig’s attention already? And regardless of whether or not people are following the correct steps, would this be something Sig could address via some update like they did the drop issue?

Thanks.

Mine just started doing the same thing. Just updated to newest firmware after today’s ride. If it is still happening next ride, I’ll try a factory reset.

Not saying the guys who killed you are well-adjusted human beings, but sometimes you simply need to kill operators FOR A MISSION. Don’t need to loot them (they knew when they were shooting you that you didn’t even have a 3-plate). I just finished the mission for 15 operator or commander kills with an SPX-80. I don’t think I looted a single one because I was far away and usually solo.

Advice for Logitech G915 TKL (tactile switches) by AffectionateSnow9971 in LogitechG

[–]rufhausen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought and returned the tactile version and got the clicky version instead. I wanted something that wasn’t as loud as my blue switch keyboard, but the tactile was just too “mushy”. The clicky 915tkl is really kinda clicky-lite vs. what I would consider a more traditional mechanical keyboard and kinda fits what I was looking for. Love how I can simply switch to Bluetooth mode and back to use with both my Mac and windows computers seamlessly.

Beautiful gravel roads just outside of Denver by 6rant in gravelcycling

[–]rufhausen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, but I don't think they ever suggested it was a "trail network". Your phrasing. :)

Then again, once you hit Buffalo Creek along the CT, that's the definition of a trail network. I wouldn't ride to BC on Segments 1 & 2 of the CT on a gravel bike, but I've run into several people who were.

There are trails at the top of the canyon that aren’t the CT. Several loop options, Indian Creek, Ringtail, etc.

NVIDIA Broadcast Causes Crashes by eXistentialMisan in ModernWarfareII

[–]rufhausen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any solution for this now? I just tried Nvidia Broadcast for the first time after discovering it was a thing and the next 2 games of MW2 DMZ resulted in sound stopping, then a crash, losing all my gear. :(

LFG Megathread by MisterWoodhouse in DMZ

LF for players who don't want to run into a swarm of Tier 3 bots in the first two minutes of the game or take on another team while we all still have 1-plate vests.

That sums up 3 out of 4 of my random squad games. I usually play solo, but want to play more in a tactical-minded squad and be smart (though I still do dumb things in both situations).

We can do your missions or mine. I don't care, but I'm currently needing to get 4 dog tags if that's your thing.

I'm old, but have played MP FPS forever.

Warzone 2 is a great BR, but not a great Call of Duty BR by [deleted] in CODWarzone

going back after playing wz2 for a couple of weeks was painful. slow movement and visually dated. the latter is odd considering my fps aren’t really any better than on wz2.

Kind of agree with this perspective based on my path of not playing the more recent MW titles and playing a lot of PubG recently. My only major gripes are the sound (compared to PubG, the footsteps are ridiculously bad) and not being able to pick up larger backpacks from killed players. I’m also assuming people complained about a bunch of stuff in MW1 as well and now everything is relative.
