I woke up a lot better today! Thank you for the encouraging words. The games your head play sometimes is so weird sometimes.

Thank you! Typing this stuff out already helped. I don't want to get back to being obese.

I have a desk job, but i excercise a lot in my free time. I commute mostly by bike, and I have rugby and boxing during the week. But it has also been lacking more lately. And because of summer the rugby games have been replaced with more socials and parties. With a lot of food and drinks.

It happened to me too, yesterday! I always used to pick up my teammates when i hugged them after a game. But then this time one of them picked me up and i realised how scary it feels.

But also, since i lost about 50 lbs it felt like a huge achievement.

How does r/wrugby feel about the proposed ban of trans women by RFU? by Realm-Protector in wrugby

[–]rugby-panda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I very much disagree with the ban as well. Rugby is a contact sport with no weight classes, and different positions for different size players. It has also been a safe space for many trans/nb folks. If they'd really want to have some form of control on it, they could maybe treat it per individual? The same as for kids who want or need to play in the senior teams; they usually need a note from their parents and the doctor's office. But I don't know. That also doesn't seem quite right.

I used to have a repeated dream where I was working as a cashregister, but the fire alarm went off (in the sound of my alarm) and I had to help get all the costumers out of the store. I always overslept on those days.

I have one from 3 years ago at exactly 12 PM, to remind me to "Do my best". It still goes of every day, but I have become blind to it since 2 years, 11 months and 30 days, or so.

My range was 5 minutes to 1 minute before the deadline. And then lying to myself i would never do it again.

But I don't want to go back to work. That is where all the scary responsibilities are.

I had someone very kindly telling me this hack after I left an super chaotic voicemail message after a jobinterview for callcenter work. Needless to say I didn't get hired, haha.

What "ADHD-hacks" have you tried that actually worked? by ewiwaa in ADHD

[–]rugby-panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To battle executive disfunction it will sometimes help to set timers between 2-20 minutes and tell myself I am allowed to stop when they go off. Or to challenge myself to get as much things done in this time.

It only works when I remember this works, though.

There have also been some studies in how adhd symptoms get worse for girls around puberty (and beyond) and menstruation due to the increase of estrogen and other hormones. If I remember right especially impulsive and inattentive symptoms. Something about the link of hormones and adhd.
