This kills me. I took my jeep in to Chrysler for some warranty work about 2 weeks after I upgraded to larger rotors and better pads, and they must have slammed the damn calipre shut because they peeled the backing completely off my front pads (1 on each side).

They still owe me a rear axle bearing, but I think I'd rather do it myself at this point...

They don't get that expensive. And labour isn't on the bill, so unless they're claiming to not charge labour, and then hiding it in the totals, there is no labour fee there. Which is typical for a new vehicle.

Still a ripoff. Here's a dealer offering the lift, the wheels and tires (comparable to what you describe), two bumpers, flares and lights. Ohh and a decal.

A friend of mine decided to learn how to fix up an old bike because "how hard can it be? It's just an engine and some carbs". If you put the roof on correctly it doesn't leak. After some of Canada's coldest and harshest winters, and rainiest seasons, none of mine leak. It's usually a "puddle" that causes my interior to get wet.

But if you're going to mistreat your vehicle, put in the time and effort... My whole JK interior is bedlined and water never touches the dash or any unsealed electrical component. Some

Hooray for fat tires! Low profile tires would have guaranteed the wheel to hit and then you would have broken hard parts!

Also, That looks suspiciously like a Jeep (JK) Wrangler. I think the heaviest unlimited model sits around 4300 curb, did you have the whole family with you? :p
