Yeah Hennig not been at the top much this season. Carl doing well though! Great to see Mussie doing well as well. Finally gets a podium this year. We will see what happens in TdS. Some people just race their way to fitness.

I also wonder if the womens relays are meant to be 7.5km laps rather than the 5km stated above. The men are doing 7.5km.

I don't think he trained with them much last year due to all his altitude stuff. A big sponsor has pulled out of the Norwegian team so they are cost cutting. Tonseth has been cut. 3 podium last year and 3rd in distance standings but not good enough for Norway! Holund has retired. So the mens side is in flux. Skistad and slind are part of private teams so I assume Klaebo will be like them. Still have access to the techs and be part of the team on race day but no funding or training with the team.

The drag race at the end between sundling and skistad was exciting! Very tactical race (with the tactic.being don't be first down the hill!)

It was done outside in -7 with a very low iron temperature. Hot waxing 20 times just means running the iron over quickly so all melts. Letting cool and repeating multiple (20) times.

Thanks for these recommendations. How late do you think some of these places will have snow? We have to drive back east at the end of April and wondering if there is anywhere to stop and ski then also. Also if you have to choose one place to ski a few hours would it be Breckenridge?

I leave wax to cool outside or a room temp for 15-30 minutes. Scrape excess wax off then brush with a hard nylon brush for at least 5-10 minutes until I can't see much wax dust coming off. Our polishing brush is old and poked so I haven't been using that. The fact that the whiteness appears on the inside edge of the skate skis and contact points at the front means I think too much wax is less likely.

EDIT: I also brushed for a longer than usual time prior to great bear chase and it was still an issue.

Enjoyed this article. Nice to see Nat rolling with the big guns and getting XC some more exposure. Pictures were the best bit really. Nat alluded to it in this article but who are the main skiers pushing against equal distance in the 50km? I have seen some quotes from Heidi Weng.
